You have given a nice thought and I love your question because you feel it is right if God can guide you and show you the pattern in which to lead a good life.

We can find more answer in Joshua 1 vs 8. We need to meditate on God's word and do His will. By this, we would be closer and have a smooth relationship with Him and from there, He speaks to us in guiding our path in life.
