Hello everybody!
First of all, I want to thank you for the support you gave to our first post.
Without any need to run into bots or promotions we were able to reach a good number of upvote and readers.
All this thanks to those who made the reblog of the post, thank you very much!
But getting back to us..
The Hive Blockchain has planted its first 90 trees and absorbed 1800kg of CO2 !
As announced in the presentation post, every week we will publish a report of the rewards collected through our posts and those of the people who put us as beneficiaries.
We have decided not to wait and to share with you our first results which, even if they are not many, are a great start!
Here the results:
Our most successful post.
We are very happy that the one with the most visibility was the post in the community that we created under the name of #ReforestationProject.
Thanks to that we have now raised $17.04 as you can see.
Here the link
The other posts.
We decided to divide it into 3 other communities to try to make the project known to as many people as possible and so it was.
The EcoTrain admin commented enthusiastically on the initiative, encouraging many of you to make the repost.
Here the links with all our posts.
Let's do the math.
As described in our presentation post, we will allocate our funds in this way:
HIVE BACKED DOLLARS (HBD): entirely exchanged in FIAT currency and used to buy trees on Tree-nation.
HIVE POWER (HP): 50% of these rewards will be kept on the profile to maintain the project, 50% will be powered-down in HIVE to buy trees after 13 weeks.
Thanks to these first four posts our results so far are as follows:
Link 1: $17.04
Link 2: $0.51
Link 3: $0.26
Link 4: $0.49
The total is $18.3 divided 50% HBD and 50% HP.
So we used $9 to buy our first trees.
Where did we plant them?
With these first funds we decided to finance the Eden Reforestation Project in Madagascar, in collaboration with our partner Tree-nation.
Why Eden Reforestation Project?
Madagascar is more than just an island from an animated movie.
It's a nation with over 200,000 species of plants and animals that don't exist anywhere else in the world.
But more than 90% of Madagascar's original forests have been destroyed, displacing entire animal species and taking away the Malagasy's ability to farm and live on the land. Entire mangrove estuaries are gone, leaving the bare earth to wash away into the sea.
Eden Reforestation Projects launched its Madagascar project sites in 2007 by restoring ecologically devastated mangrove estuaries in the northwest of the country.
Mangrove forests are essential ecosystems whose dense roots serve as an anchor for the soil and coastline preventing erosion and creating a barrier between harsh ocean systems and land.
What began as primarily mangrove restoration and reforestation in 2007 grew to include a variety of native dry deciduous species in 2012.
Eden Projects partners include two National Park systems, which aim to reforest and revive natural habitat for endangered and endemic animal species.
As already mentioned, by financing Eden Reforestation Project we have planted 90 trees and therefore absorbed 1800kg of CO2!
We want to be 100% transparent and at this link you can see our profile with our trees.
Furthermore, I enclose here our first certificate of validity issued by Tree-nation.
That's all for today!
Don't forget to follow our #ReforestationProject community and share our post with the hashtag #HiveReforestationProject !
Thank you again.
EDIT: I want to apologize to the community, I didn't know that posting the post in different communities was seen as spam. We won't do it anymore! Sorry again.
