A week ago I made some mandalas for our kitchen door and Sabrina asked if I could create some smaller ones as garlands. No problem I said. I really enjoyed making these.
It is a little bit harder cutting the holes out when they are so small, one quarter the size of an A4 sheet, before they are folded up into a much smaller piece for the cutting.
The trick is to not cut too much away from the sides which hold it together in the middle. If too much is cut, it will fall into four pieces.
I love the way no two designs are the same. Like snowflakes.
I attached them to the string using a glue gun, which was perhaps a bit excessive, but seemed to work well.
Here they are being tested out.
Not sure yet if this will be their final position. Just wanted to see what they looked like up there.
And I like them!
Looking at YouTube it turns out there are ways to get a bit more 3D with this kind of thing...
So this is what I will try next :)
Love & Light everyone 🌱
Wow! Magical pieces of paper! I never did thus before! Quite interesting and seems like a lot of fun!
You know what, I never did this before either ;)
Which is why it is so fun!
