Mental health is super important to me, as I’ve been a bit crazy since birth. 🤪🥳🥸 That being said, I feel pretty good about my mental health now a days.
My secret sauce for keeping my stress low, and my mind sharp, involves four main ingredients. The first element of the mix is instrumental music- chillstep, lofi, acoustic jams- whatever matches my mood/energy level.
Next, I pick a subject that’s related to either the cause of my stress, or just something that interests me. Then I find an audiobook/lecture thats related to the topic, to listen to, on top of the music.
Then, I spin poi/ contact staff/ dragon staff, juggle, stretch, workout, bike, etc., while listening.
The final element is journaling.
Pausing the lecture, and typing out key insights as I go, helps me integrate the wisdom I’m digesting.
I keep on switching from journaling to flow arts as hours pass.
It’s been fun to see my evolution over the past few years.
