Too much of anything is harmful. While water is must for the growth of plant, at the same time excess water may proved to be very harmful.
After the rainfall, comes the gardening work. The best time to sow anything, as soil were moist enough to make it more fertile. As I have a small terrace garden, apart from the big farm fields, I used to do some gardening on the terrace. However ,I notice that there is water logged in one of the drum ibused to do plantation so started to work on it.
Due to heavy rainfall, water logged inside the little drum. It was hard to do plantation inside it. I made a small pot by cutting the big drum from the centre and it was good u till I found the mistake.
Actually, there was no water outlay in this drum. The lower portion of the drum were hardest part, and due to no outlet, water logging is very evident. On discovering the mistakes, it is the time do the correction.
The best way is to make a hole at the bottom, to allow water to pass through. On that would allow the drum for plantation purpose. So I took a hammer and nail tand starred making hole in it.

I made three different hole on three different sides. And the effort start paying off as sooner. The logged water started to flow outside. It was sight that made me more hopeful to do more plantation.
As the water from the drum started to resedes, I kept an eye waiting to get the complete outflow of tge logged water. It took time and after waiting patiently for 10 minutes the entire water came out.
As the soil get dried, now I can do plantation on it. However, I have to make sure there won't be any more water logging, else it will destroy my plants. So after 2 days of waiting period, and making sure there won't be any more water logging, I planted Marigold and basil in it.
It was perfect learning for me to as my mistakes already cost me two plants. Now it get corrected hopefully, I will plant more in future.

Its nice you observed the water in the drum pretty fast and got rid of it so it doesn't destroy more of your plants. I actually love your planting skills.
Thanks dear...timely observation always benefits...I am more happy to have it properly used.. it took.me an hour to UT that piece of drum...to avoid any wastage.. Hopefully it is put in best use.
