The existence of God has nothing to do with the suffering of man.Before suffering came into existence, God made man in his own image and likeness, that is to tell you how much God loves Man. Even though Man was the last thing that God created. The suffering of man started from the day Man made a decision of disobedience to God and listening to the serpent.

In Genesis 3:1-4
{And the serpent said unto the woman,yeah,that God said, ye shall not eat of the fruit of the tree which is in the midst of the garden? And the woman replies, yes , that for the day that Man eats the fruit, he shall die. And the serpent said unto the woman, you shall not surely die. For God knows that,the day you eat of the tree, your eyes shall be open, you shall be as gods. Knowing good and evil.And when the woman saw that the tree was good for food, and it was pleasant to the eyes, and she desired to be wise, she took off the fruits, ate and gave some to her husband Adem which he ate. And their eyes became open, they knew that they were naked, and they made fig leaves together, and made themselves aprons.}.
Man is suffering today because of the decisions he took and he is still taking. In today's world and before, Man finds it very difficult to obey instructions, what we are asked not to do, is what we always want to do. For instance, Biblically man is commanded not to commit Adultery or fornication, but how many are ready to keep to that commandment. Politically man is give a general law. To be law abiding, how many men are ready for that. Medically, Man is asked not to be involved in abuse of drugs but nowadays most rich men are into it, outside it be against the law. it kills, some country even gave their punishment of drugs pushing as death penalty, but Man still go into it.

Now after Men find it so difficult to be obey instructions and keep to rule. Accepting that he has done wrong, and asking for forgiveness is one of the most difficult thing that Man has in him. He Will either lie that he didn't do it, even if he finally agreed that he did it, Man will always justify himself by give u reason or reasons why he disobey such rule or law. Let me take us back from the book Genesis 3:9-13
( And the Lord God called to Adam, and said to him where are you. Adam said, I hard a voice in the garden and I was afraid,I am naked, so I hid myself.God ask him, who told you that you are naked? Have u eat the fruit in the garden which I ask you not to eat? And what was the Man's reply." The woman whom you gave to be with me, she gave me the fruit and I ate. And to the. What is this that you have done? And the woman said, The serpent beguiled me, and I eat.
If you look at the whole story, man is very well responsible for his suffering. I am sure no man will be happy, if his child disobey him
And no man is too hardened, not to forgive his child, if the child accepts his wrong and asks for forgiveness.
