MVRV 1 Year Ratio (Market Value to Realized Value 1-Year Ratio) is a Bitcoin metric used to analyze Bitcoin. This metric focuses on the behavior of long-term holders. The 1-year ratio contains data of holders who have held their BTCs for at least a year.

This metric compares Bitcoin's market value to its realized value for coins held for at least a year. It shows if long-term holders are in profit or loss, filtering out short-term trading noise.

Historically, MVRV 1 Year Ratio was below 1 when the crypto market was in a bear trend, indicating that a majority portion of BTC long-term holders capitulated or held through losses.

The MVRV 1 Year Ratio suggests that BTC is at a critical juncture. This ratio has not yet fallen to deep areas under the ratio of 1.
If the crypto market enters a deep bear market, MVRV 1 Year Ratio will dip into huge loss spots through this tough season. In a bear market scenario, the crypto market doesn't seem to have flushed out speculative views and holders yet, so it may lead to a deeper bear zone.
In a bull market scenario, this critical juncture may indicate rigid resilience among long-term holders, so through this adjustment, the market may continue its bull season.
