Crazy things are happening in the world lately. Many people are dealing with the consequences of wars and unfortunate political decisions. Others have been struggling for some time now with problems that are beyond what they can handle on their own.
Luckily, it's not all bad or negative. Our Hive blockchain represents an operating model that presents many opportunities for community development.
Many projects are running right now today on Hive to create a better scenario for all users of its ecosystem.
This account is intended to add to that effort to generate and give back to the communities that are contributing to the growth of Hive and that are staying afloat despite the problems that continue to live around them.
As its name indicates, ASSISTANCE, will be destined to collect help to offer it to people in need. We will use a simple but firm system based on trust and cooperation.
How does it work?
Someone invites someone who knows someone else, all recognized and respected users of our ecosystem. We find out about a specific need, from a specific group or person, and then try to give practical help with the fundamental costs. It's simple.
For example, we learn from serious conversations with acquaintances that a certain group of people are having trouble getting their food every month. Their daily salary is about one US dollar and they depend on occasional gifts from their government or acquaintances abroad to survive. Some of them are showing a lot of courage in keeping good spirits in these conditions, others, have sadder stories.
Can we help?
Yes, we can. That is why this account has been created. Proceeds from postings will be directed to provide assistance to situations such as the one described above. Of course we will not be able to achieve absolutely nothing depending only on the earnings from posts on Hive, we need contributions from users who want to help and can collaborate. If you are interested, come to our Castle and ask about the project.
If you receive a notification about this post personally, it is because someone who knows you thinks you can participate and help. They will surely explain to you what is being done at that moment and what will be the destination of the funds.
It is not a simple proposal to ask for money. It is not an account to publicize cases of suffering and need. The goal is to work to raise the necessary resources, and in the process, to give the greatest publicity to Hive and contribute to its expansion and growth.
Many such projects fail before they even begin. But if we can be the difference for a single family in trouble, then we will try. For now we are aiming for a stable fund of about $200 a month, just over $200 HBD right now, and we repeat... MONTHLY, not a daily amount.
What can you do right now with so little?
Well, the entrepreneurial and collaborative spirit of some of those who have already joined @assistence is incredible. They have already advanced some steps and have a first project to benefit about 10 needy families. And yes, it is a modest help, but it is necessary to keep it that way as long as resources are limited.
Think about it, maybe you can help, in that case, ask at @thealliance Castle in the discord for the project and add your effort.

Couple of things: Wes Philbin and Thekittygirl probably don't know everybody in need, but they know somebody who does.
Maybe a few of us could write a post a week (one a day from 7) that could help the fund? Writing is about the only thing I really can do... aside from sending a little once in a while.
