My normal is again waking at 3:30 to 4:00 am now for some reason and yesterday when I got up I had a full plate finished in the printer. All the pieces looked super good and I now have all the parts printed for the ski waxing vises. I only need bolts long enough and some nuts which I will get today at the store.
I am using the filament dryer now and loaded up the white roll into it then cut down a tube and have the filament run out of the dryer and into the printer. I had to get the tube positioned right but it now feeds smoothly.
I got the next print going mid morning which was the rest of the parts for the antenna.
With the antenna parts I had printed I had to drill the holes out a bit to get the elements to fit.
I measured every element and marked the middle then slid each element into the holder.
The driven elements had to get holes drilled in the ends which was harder than it should have been. I finally managed to get them drilled by holding them on the v notch.
Then I had to dig in my screw bin for the correct sized screws.
I realized I drilled the holes too far away from the end so had to drill new holes closer so the screws would fit.
I have to get a piece of coax to run out to the so239 plug.
The Kraken game came on early, for once. But it did not end up going their way at all. They managed to keep it tied for a good amount of time.
The printer finished the job and I now have laptop lifts and the caps for the elements.
The laptop lifts are super and give me a ton more room on my desk.
Over half way through the game and things fell apart. The Kraken got demolished and will have to face them again today in Seattle.
I dug around our bin of screen protectors and found an old one that I cut down and applied to the screen on the printer.
The caps for the element ends were all a bit too small so I had to drill them all out so fit.
Soon I had them all on and now all I need is the boom which I have to get at the store today.
They got destroyed despite putting up 5, and has them falling farther in the standings.
There was a mouse trap design I found and printed out 3 sets of them. They go on the side of a bucket and dump the mice in when they walk the plank.
I'm going to get them setup in the coop and the basement to see how well they work.
J got his first full plate to print of his own and we got to see how the lego figures come out along with the Bender bits. Each run we are learning something new.
My skin is shit again so I got half an hour barely soaking. I've also finally caught whatever has been going through the household and this morning I can feel the ick in my chest and head. I was hoping to avoid it but alas I'm not that lucky.
Another 3:30am morning for me and I have the printer churning away already. I feel like dog shit so will have to fill myself with fluids and vitamins all day. Will hit the store for antenna parts then hopefully get it put together today. I'm trying to figure out mounting of the tower base so need to do some serious planning for it.
