RE: Printing a Pocket Holder - From design to the finished print

in 3D Printing3 years ago

Why doesn't it work like the original?

  • It does look very nicely printed, I didn't follow along your previous posts just yet - but what is your printer if I may ask?
Especially the round shape on the lower end would not look just as round if I had it printed on my old Prusa, I think.
  • Do you always use Fusion 360?
a friend of mine, who is more talented on the physical side of things than the "virtual" details like me, really loves Fusion, but I can't stand being dependent on some companys software - which may any day take whatever they want for it - for my 3d printing needs (somehow it's against the whole idea for me, though I don't mind paying for things in general)

I think the main issue is that it's still fairly new as a feature in Fusion and from what I've seen in a comparison between prints is that it produced a higher quality print on default settings. It's just my opinion and an opinion from a relative newbie at that. I'm sure there are tweaks that I can make but I'm not quite there yet.

I've tried to learn Fushion 360(the free version) as best as I can as it seems to be one of the better all-round tools out there - lots of tutorials. And while I'm just a hobbyist the price is right as well.
