3D Printing - Calibration and Cannabis

Hello Everyone,

The 3D printer has been down for a while due to a broken parts cooling fan, but now we're back up and running again.

Due to the importance of the parts fan, I couldn't run the unit without it. I didn't have a spare fan and opted to utilize one of the two cooling fans I had in place for the motherboard. The single fan seems to be working fine and the board is not overheating, so everything is good.

In this video I prepared the printer for a calibration cube. (thingiverse.com)

While smoking a little cannabis..

This is an unknown strain that I purchased from someone I know. It's pretty decent and probably an Indica judging by the taste, smell, and effect.

I also grow cannabis and incorporate 3D printing into this over on my main blog @futuremind.

Right now I have nothing major planned for the 3D printer, but I am brainstorming some small project ideas for my plants.

I want to make some effective drip water system, and also some kind of specialized two piece plates to cover the soil in the pots. This might make a drip system challenging, but I have ideas brewing on how to incorporate both.

Meanwhile I'm just taking my time here, there's never any hurry with creating things for me, otherwise the creative process loses its fun.

That will do it for this 3D printing post.

Your time is a valuable commodity, and I always keep this in mind and do my best to respond to everyone. I appreciate all of the amazing comments and support!

Thanks for stopping by, have a great day! ~~@print3dpro

I'm very interested in your experiences, both good and bad, success and failure, so really appreciate this kind of post showing and discussing what you go through using your 3D printer.

I need to create space for one, and I expect to be putting it to work in 2022.

Thanks!

Thank you for the kind words @valued-customer!

Maybe I should make more of these types of videos, but I feel I could improve the recording environment substantially. If I recorded with an additional camera and had close ups of screen specifics for the software used, this could help others who are trying to learn.

I hope you are able to achieve your goals in 2022 with creating space and getting a printer all set up and printing. This would be exciting and I would look forward to seeing what kind of things you decide to print if you decide to blog about it.

Thank you!

Nice this is awesome, Have you seen the fan clips? they hold fans on the tent post? I would buy some. Have you ever thought about putting some your printed items on hivelist

Thanks a lot man!
I've never thought about the fan clips before but I just did a quick search and found a bracket for grow tents. https://www.thingiverse.com/thing:5165424

This one is pretty nice, I might give it a try :) Going to search a bit more and see what else I can find as well.

I've thought about putting stuff on hivelist and perhaps even an etsy store as well for certain gardening items. This is something I want to do, but right now I'm in the process of moving over the next couple of months so I will need to wait to get it started up properly. In the mean time I could likely get something printed for someone upon request here on the Hive blockchain and would be happy to do so.

I already printed some bad ass low stress training clips that worked out great for my current grow and am planning to print some more batches of them and hook people up with those as well.

With the licensing on certain designs published online, I may not be able to sell them, but I could print them and gift them. The shipping cost would be all I need covered and would be happy to work that out in Hive or WEED.

Feel free to hit me up on discord futuremind#5073 to work out the specifics if you want to get some goods man :)
