Here’s the thing, I have one person as my inspiration and role model. I have one person for both categories because I have learned soo much from him
Sooo, growing up I always heard people saying ”A good name is better than money or anything”, me with my small mind I would be wondering “How is a good name better than money and the likes, where money can get you whatever you need money might not. This person proved that statement to be true to me
The said person in this post is none other than my late dad. Honestly, I didn’t fully understand that statement untill after he passed away though ❤️🤲🏾.
It is in the wake of his death that I can now fully say I grab what that sentence meant. My dad was not some rich man oooo, no he was a very hard working man who made sure to leave himself a good reputation and a good name in his wake.
Since his death, I can tell you his name has been like a blessing to us the family he left behind and we are a testament to that good name 💪🏾🙏🏽.
My dad is my role model in the sense that if I was to look for traits in a man to spend my forever with, I would look for traits of my dad in them. He is my role model in the sense that I would also like to leave such a good name behind when I am gone and no more.
My dad is inspiration in the sense that when I am down and out just the thought of him alone is all I need to get myself back together. My dad is my inspiration in the sense that when I feel less inspired for anything at all in life, watching the kind of movies he liked and listening to the kind of musics he liked fills me with thoughts and memories of him and makes me happy at the end of the day
I would have loved for him to live longer but “we are nothing but pencils in the hands of the creator”

A great story with your dad. His memories lives in you. You become the keeper of so much. I felt what you're going through because I lost my dad too. So painful and no one take away the good memories we had. I miss him so much. 🥹
