Leyes y religión: la cara de la maldad // Law and religion: the face of evil
The news of Mahsa Amini's death echoed around the world and in social networks. It is very complex to talk about religion and customs in other countries; because these elements beyond contributing to faith, respect for life, promoting tourism; it has become a tool to threaten, destroy and justify the death of other human beings.
The world and its differences: Women more fortunate than others
I can feel privileged for the fact that I was born in Venezuela (despite the political chaos) and as a woman I have been able to develop without limitations, with awareness of my actions and without laws that violate my integrity as a human being. I understand that in other countries it is not the same scenario and maybe for them we are considered a country with libertinism and not with legitimate freedom for us women.
Unfortunately, if the Islamic religion has something good (I don't know it), the latest events leave it in a very bad light. There is another case, a woman from Mexico who went to work in the preparations for the World Cup in Qatar and in her place of work was assaulted by a stranger, this is outrageous; they wanted to blame her for everything, to apply the full weight of the law and thanks to a diplomatic authority of her country, she was able to flee and lived to tell the tale.
The death of this young Iranian woman set a historical precedent in the country, there have been protests, solidarity on the part of other Iranian women, bringing with it repression and I do not know if this had any positive effect on the way laws are applied.
Famous women from different fields and professions joined a campaign in honor of Mahsa Amini, where they can be seen cutting part of their hair. This is so that her death does not go unpunished and in solidarity with those women who are victims of laws that violate their rights as human beings.
Still in the XXI century there are many customs that remain rooted in different countries, which generate suffering among girls and women; one of them is female genital mutilation; another aspect of injustice and for which we fight for this practice to be eradicated.
There is much to do, it is very difficult to change the legislation and culture of a country from the outside; however, there is strength in unity and making visible each case of injustice to the female guild using social networks is a step, since the scope of the same is unprecedented.
Para el ángel mas bonito de Irán // For the most beautiful angel of Iran
Mujeres: ¡Siempre recordemos a Mahsa Amini!
Beautiful Mahsa Amini the brute force turned you off,
Divine justice exists and this is not a matter of religion,
The veil of discord that has brought a belief,
cannot be imposed by the value of your essence.
Iran and its people have to react,
do not let Islam misapplied cloud your understanding,
Respect for women must prevail,
without belittling our vulnerability.
I believe in a loving God and I hope he honors your memory,
the world has to change and leave obsolete laws...
Women: Let us always remember Mahsa Amini!
And let us be a light for those who need it.
