I wrote this in response to another post and I think it is important that we all do as much as we can to get the truth of what is happening in Ukraine over to the Russian people as their leader is blatantly lying to them.
I am horrified at the justifications from Putin attacking the Ukrainian people. The fact that he and his ambassadors around the world are still telling the Russian people that they are not invading Ukraine, when people are now dying, is absolutely abhorrent.
Hopefully, Russian people will see the truth through platforms like these where they are not controlled by the governments.
As for the rest of Europe, we need to stop Putin now. We need to learn from history what can happen if a power hungry madman decides he wants to secure his legacy.
This could easily be the start of WW3 and millions of lives could be lost for the sake of 1 madman’s crazy ideas of grandeur.
I understand that NATO does not want to get involved on the ground because Ukraine is not a member, however at what point to we get involved. Do we have to watch Russia destroy Ukraine until it reaches NATO territory, just so we don’t do any political damage? That won’t bother Putin in the slightest. He has decided long ago that he is hell bent on invading Ukraine and it looks like we are allowing him to do so. He will gain strength and confidence if he is allowed to do this.
Forget political, where are our moral obligations? How many people have to die before we step in?
I despair at the world right now. Russian people, Europe, US and the rest of the civilised world, please help to stop this madness!
I am sorry, but how do you know that you have all the right information coming through the English channels? How can you tell that Russians are brainwashed?
The media has a proven track for portraying the news in the light that suits politicians. No one knows for sure what the reasons are behind the latest events. From all I know, Ukraine could be at fault for playing some political games. WE SIMPLY DON'T KNOW!
Putin has explained to Russian people the reasons behind the border breach, which lasted 55 minutes and covered historical facts. Perhaps there is a transcript that you can run through google translate.
I think you are correct in that we just don’t know the full story, but people are now dying. Russia has no right to invade another country, no matter the excuses it comes up with to justify it’s actions. Innocents are being killed and there is no justification for that
It's absolutely horrible situation and even worse because no one is not helping them out! There is a law in Finland that they can't deliver arms to a country that is in active war state, so they will not drliver anymore anything. Excuse me what is this nonsense
Completely agree with you, it is an awful situation. Everyone needs to help the Ukrainian people, or we are also responsible by standing by and watching it happen
I don’t know the ins and outs of it all, other than this is a horrid situation that will in one way or another effect Europe and the rest of the world as a whole. In what kind of way remains to be seen. What is certain though, Putin, I’m not saying Russia, is fighting his own mad war. No sensible Russian or any sane minded human being wants this. .it’s sickening.
I can't see any justification for such an invasion. Russia is not that threatened by Ukraine. I get that they don't want NATO there, but the rest of Europe will feel threatened.
I went to Kyiv a couple of times a few years back. Interesting place and they were very vocal about not being Russian.

I personally feel that NATO is an excuse. He has been clear about the fact he thinks Ukraine has no right to exist as a nation separate from Russia. He is creating a lasting legacy in history for himself, let’s hope it backfires. As for not wanting NATO next to Russia, if Ukraine becomes part of Russia, NATO will be at its borders anyway!

Russia is completely occupied by foreigners after the Russian Revolution. Just like us here in Germany. I say they are attacking Ukraine to secure their way to Europe. We are also getting a real beating here.

Yes I do think it is appropriate. We as a human race should stand up for all innocent people being killed! Politicians are all assholes, that’s how they get into power. But normal people have a responsibility to speak out against atrocities instead of ignoring it and brushing it under the carpet

sry but i do not like seeing shared images which should that are meant to create feelings. in every war, truth dies first. and who is to say that this picture is not possibly a fake? unfortunately, i have seen too many fake pictures from crisis regions which should create certain enemy images. we are all humans doesn´t matter if russian, ukrainien or what ever. so pleas stop sharing pictures like this.
