Sustainable Fashion: How do you dress stylishly and ethically without breaking your budget?
Moda sostenible: ¿Cómo vestir con estilo y de forma ética sin salirse del presupuesto?
I don't consider myself a fashionista but I do like to dress well and be fashionable, however my budget doesn't always allow it, so what I do is buy fabric, design my own style and my mom, who thank God is skilled in sewing, is in charge of making nice pieces of clothing for me, as in the case of this beautiful blouse that I combined with a skirt/short that my aunt made for me, this way I make sure to wear unique garments, since no one else has them because they were not purchased in a store, but they are also beautiful and much cheaper.
No me considero una fashionista pero sí me gusta vestir bien y estar a la moda, sin embargo mi presupuesto no siempre me lo permite, entonces lo que hago es comprar tela, diseñar mi propio estilo y mi mamá, quien gracias a Dios es hábil en la costura, se encarga de elaborar lindas piezas de ropa para mi, como en el caso de esta hermosa blusa que combiné con una falda/short que hizo mi tía para mi, de esta manera me aseguro de llevar prendas únicas, ya que nadie más las tiene porque no fueron adquiridas en una tienda, pero además son hermosas y mucho más baratas
In other occasions like this one I build my look using things from other times, like this jean jacket that my mom used a lot in the 80's, I love the retro look it has, plus I like it because it is quite comfortable, and this shows you that it is not necessary to spend a lot of money to put together a simple look but above all comfortable and beautiful. I like to wear clothes made by my mom and also those that are from other eras but can be updated just by combining them properly.
En otras ocasiones como esta yo construyo mi look usando cosas de otras épocas, como esta chaqueta de jean que mi mamá usó mucho en los años 80, me encanta el look retro que tiene, además me gusta porque es bastante cómoda, y esto te demuestra que no es necesario gastar mucho dinero para armar un look sencillo pero sobre todo cómodo y bonito. Me gusta vestir prendas hechas por mi mamá y también esas que son de otras épocas pero que se pueden actualizar tan solo combinándolas adecuadamente.
Mindfulness: How do you achieve inner peace despite busy life and daily struggles?
Atención plena: ¿Cómo lograr la paz interior a pesar de la vida ajetreada y las luchas diarias?
Many times life brings you personal, family or work challenges, in my case I often have to deal with a co-worker whose selfish attitude makes me fed up, and with one of my bosses who sometimes makes implausible demands, taking into account that she doesn't always bring me the material I need. I work in a bakery and I work with a tiny home oven, which obviously does not meet the high demand that the bakery sometimes has, with many customers demanding desserts that I alone, with only one oven, could not meet, but the solution I have taken to be able to have peace of mind and get rid of stress, is not to take for me a responsibility that is out of my hands, when I make the demands of ingredients or supplies and the bosses do not comply on time, I tell them that simply the goal will not be reached, I left behind the long working hours (many overtime) that only stole my personal time, I learned to say NO, when I had to do it, at the end of the day, companies and employees are many, but your peace of mind and emotional stability is unique. I listen to music, I try to surround myself with people who contribute ideas instead of subtracting them and in this way I work with positivism and without stress.
Muchas veces la vida te pone retos personales, familiares o laborales, en mi caso muchas veces me toca lidiar con un compañero de trabajo cuya actitud egoísta me tiene harta, y con una de mis jefes que a veces hace exigencias inverosímiles, tomando en cuenta que no siempre me lleva el material que necesito. Trabajo en una pastelería y trabajo con un diminuto horno casero, lo cual obviamente no satisface la alta demanda que a veces tiene la pastelería, con muchos clientes exigiendo postres que yo sola, con un solo horno, no podría atender, pero la solución que he tomado para poder tener paz mental y deshacerme del estrés, es no tomar para mi una responsabilidad que se sale de mis manos, cuando hago las exigencias de ingredientes o insumos y los jefes no cumplen a tiempo, les digo que simplemente no se alcanzará la meta, dejé atrás las extensas jornadas laborales (muchas horas extras) que solo me robaban mi tiempo personal, aprendí a decir NO, cuando tenía que hacerlo, al final de cuentas, empresas y empleados hay muchos, pero tu paz mental y estabilidad emocional es única. Escucho música, procuro de rodearme de gente que aporte ideas en lugar de restarlas y de esta manera trabajo con positivismo y sin estrés.
