Have you heard about my country girl Hilda whom the country making the country proud of? She is the girl whose name just entered into the world's Guinness Book of Records, she is a chef, actress, and TV presenter, she surpassed the record set by the last record holder whose name is Lata Tondon, she set a cooking record of 87 hours and 45 minutes, Hilda had the plan to cook for 96 hours in order to beat the previous record, but while at it, she was encouraged to make it a round figure and get it up to 100 hours, which she did and it was a moment of celebration for everyone in the country.
Did you see the way Nigerians turned up for her, they stood under the sun and under the rain just to give her the moral support she needed to achieve the task, there was a time she was feeling weak due to the fact that she was seeing her monthly circle at the time, and the entire young minds outside started to pray for her, everyone was so eager to see her succeed, it was such an emotional time.

One important thing I learned from her story is the fact that she had this dream 4 years ago, but she didn't jump at it immediately, she gave time to training and nurturing and even while the dream was ripe in her mind, she ensured that she had every necessary skill and information required for her to come out successful in the task she had set her heart to do. The stage for preparation is a tough and delicate one we all must be willing to undergo if we truly desire success. A lot of times, we just want to jump straight at coming out without going through the stage of preparation first of all and that is the reason behind the long list of failed cases we have today.
For me, the significant lesson I learned is, it is a good thing to dream and dream very big, but it is even more significant to go through the process of training required to achieve whatsoever you have in mind to accomplish.
Hilda has made us proud and she has reminded us that every girl child can do whatsoever she set her mind to do, we were all rooting for her and she did make us proud, it is now left for us to take out lessons in our own way and implement them to get a desired result as well.
