How sad that you haven't been able to celebrate Christmas with your family for the past several years. That mental image of you lying in bed, alone in your room, staring at the ceiling touched my heart.
And it sad to know even when you next get the chance to be with your family, not all the family members will be there.
This is where treasured memories come into play.
