As a woman, I can say with confidence that having children has had the greatest impact on me. Here is my story...

Sometimes, and for reasons that are quite murky, motherhood is presented to us as a period of impudence and absolute decadence? As if it were a black stage in the history of any woman. Evidently, the decision to be one (or not) lies in the decisions that each one of us women make. What is undeniable is that few events in the life of a human being are as powerful and significant as being in charge of a son or a daughter.

Believe me, it is not the same to be pregnant one day and the next to have in your arms a fragile creature that depends in every way on the care and dedication that only a mother can provide. This post is an idea that I have had going around in my head for months. I have read several posts in the community, especially from a few months ago, and it distresses me a bit how motherhood or the relationship between a woman, her individuality and the fact of being a mother can't seem to go hand in hand without generating controversy.

Fortunately, I have found in this niche the confidence and the pigeon I have needed. I have seen women express their feelings and perspectives on what happens to them but also feel pride, joy and deep happiness for raising the flag that represents all women but also, the fact that differentiates us from the rest of the human species: to be able to bring life into this world. And boy, are we special, and we should be congratulated for them. Don't believe it, we are not always recognized for the titanic work we do. That not only goes hand in hand with the mere procreation or upbringing of children; but the role we play from the human side in the personality and worldview of our little ones.

I always carry with me photographs of my little girl. From the time she could not utter a syllable until these last ones that I publish here. The miracle of forming human beings and bringing them into this world is as beautiful and rebellious as any other action. I refuse to believe that an action, in which we all, regardless of gender can relate (since we all know some mother, including our own) we are so reluctant and mean. It is not Mother's Day, nor is it a special date, but precisely because of this, I have been inspired to give voice and dignity to all the mothers, women and fighters I know there are alive in this community and within the HIVE blockchain.

Chatting with a friend, I learned from her that what happens to our children, from the time they are born until we leave their lives (it is the very cycle of life itself) is the closest thing to a miracle that we will ever have the ability to witness. And that definition changed my mind, it opened me up about perspectives that have inspired what you read in this post. So, am I a better woman for having become a mother? I'm not sure, to tell you the truth. But being a mother did make me smarter, more mature, more confident and immensely happy. And I do believe that these last qualities are part of the purpose we have on this plane, in this world. So if you are a woman and a mother or wish to be one at some point, don't feel that you are “wasting your time”. You are and can continue to be a wonderful woman by being a mom.

Children are indeed the best gift a mother can ask for that's why they are blessings from God.

Not quite sure about the God part, but What I do know and I share with you @ene22 is that kids are a true blessing. As a woman and as a mother I can say that totally confident!

I agree with what you say, being mothers is a miracle that we will have the ability to witness, I think it is the impulse that helps us grow as people, I love it,
