Good day, amazing people of Hive Blockchain. Welcome back to my blog. This is another edition in the Ladies of Hive community topic: How did you hear about Hive Blockchain, and what made you join?
I had been hearing about crypto when I was still in school. Back then, my elder brother and his friends were into crypto. I didn’t really understand what crypto was all about. I can remember my brother borrowing money from me, and each time I asked him about my money, he would tell me that he invested with my money. I still didn’t understand how the crypto worked. I was not exposed back then. I didn’t have any idea about how the crypto community worked.
I love everything that has to do with money. On several occasions, I have asked my brother to put me through crypto; he always comes up with excuses. That was how I lost interest in learning about crypto.
During my service year, I have this neighbour of mine, @eunice9200, that whenever she purchases a new item, she will write hive on it. Almost all the properties have hive written on them. One day I had to ask her what the meaning of hive was. She told me since she came across hive, her life has totally changed. She explained to me that hive is a blockchain that gives its user full ownership. It is a platform where you write and earn. I was so curious, if I may say, at that moment I wanted her to teach me everything about the blockchain. Anything that I will earn and learn, I don’t joke with it.
The next day, @eunice9200 helped me to create an account on the blockchain. As a Corper, I was not really doing much. She guided me on my intro post. I stayed weeks without publishing an article because I didn’t know what to write. @eunice9200 came to my room to know why I had not been publishing an article. I told her I was not a writer and that I was really finding it hard to come up with an article. She made me realise that Hive is a platform that allows me to express myself. There are many communities where I can share my life experience. That the platform allows me to also learn from other actors motivated me, and I see reasons with her.
My friend told me that I can also make friends in the blockchain who will help me both online and offline. That really sounds amazing to me. Hive is one platform that wants to bring out the best from its users. Hive is about being creative and engaging in other people's posts.
Why do I join the blockchain?
I will not lie the fact that i will earn while writing made me join the blockchain inside me i was like how is it possible i will write and earn at the same time seeing all the things my neighbor have acquire through blockchain my spirit was really high to join the blockchain.
The fact that it will connect me to friends within my country and outside my country made me love the blockchain. I so much love learning about other people's cultures. Connecting with people will help me do that. Seriously, I don’t regret joining the platform because I have connected with some people, and our relationship is very strong, as if we knew each other before Adam.
The picture is mine
I like, as said earlier, Hive allows its users full ownership. Is that not amazing? Hive has been a home to many. I can’t write about my life journey without including Hive. I have been able to find my way through the blockchain. I couldn’t have been where I am today if not for the blockchain. Long live Hive.
