My goodness did we have a wonderful time last night! Everyone had to get involved and @merenludick even made potato salad for the 1st time!!!!
The kids all dressed up and looked amazing! They had to do their own thing this year as I was so busy trying to make the cupcakes with my mom and poor @zakludick only finished work after our guests started arriving so the two of us didn't get a chance to dress up. I guess we went as exhausted parents ๐๐
The cupcakes, which I thought were going to be a total failure, actually turned out to be brilliant!
I made "trick or treat" cupcakes by hiding caramel treat in some of the cupcakes! The kids were delighted and full of sugar! It took a lot of work from my mom and I. Three different types of icing, piping, and trying to make scary faces!
We were also treated to some incredible talent and were serenaded by @aimeludick and Some of her friends. I actually got a bit teary! They were so talented!
It was such a special evening and really worth all the effort.
We'll probably celebrate the last of the Halloween weekend by watching some awesome Halloween-themed movies tonight. We're busy watching Tim Burton's "Corpse Bride" which is just brilliant! I actually wanted to dress up as her, but didn't have time.
There's always next year though!
