Urgh. During this process, no on wants to see their weight go up, but honestly, with all the parties, wine, cheese and baked goodies, I cant say I'm surprised. Oh and let's not forget the chocolates and the pizza night...
I also need to take into consideration, that my period is around the corner, 
so bloating is a factor that adds about 4 to 5 kgs of water retention. This is hard to believe with perimenopause causing me to sweat out SO MUCH water, it's nuts... like I have to throw my pajama top off in the middle of the night because it's soaked right through. I also drink between 2.5 and 3 liters of water per day.
Oh the joys of the 40s are upon me! As a woman in this stage of my life I get to experience the joys of my biological clock ticking - meaning my body is intensely releasing eggs and hormones that make me believe I need to have another baby before the window closes. I am also definitely perimenopausal which means I get to go through the exciting ride of menstrual and perimenopausal hormone rollercoasters.
Look, I am not denying that I ate my own weight in cupcakes this month or that my healthy diet went out of the window...that's all on me. God I'm actually dying for a plate of fruit like this. YES it's high in sugar but it's also full of vitamins and fiber etc. And there were my healthy oat, pear and raisin muffins which were glorious.
Last night, I was in such a horrible mood. After biting everyone's head off, I ate and ENTIRE tub of ice cream by myself. @zakludick tucked it under my arm while I was napping and ran out of the room 🤣🤣🤦♀️A new record for me and something I did not know I was capable of.
I really need to get back on track now... but with Easter around the corner and my absolute addiction to hot and fresh hot cross buns, straight out of the oven... oh dear. I suppose it's always something.

LOLZ! You made me smile. Is there any such thing as a shi- baker? I was brought up on eating cookie dough because our oven didn't work. Therefore, I LOVE cookie dough unbaked; cake batter, much to my dismay. The way I stay away from it is to just not make it. But there are times I WANT to make it!

Well, if you put it that way, I suppose not, but I've become quite serious about it over recent years and I'm considering running a business with my baking! The problem is, I always end up licking spoons and eating batter and icing myself, nevermind that I always gobble the "dud" cupcakes 😜🤣
I probably could not have enough self control to do that. I know folks will buy baked goods because most don't have time to do that sort of thing anymore. Maybe open a coffee stand with baked goods to go with it. That would be a winner here, lol!

Yeah, you know there are a lot of reasons behind that. Time and labour being a big factors. Also, it's expensive to buy ingredients on a personal level rather than as a mass bakery so I can't beat prices. The difference is in the taste though. I know 100% that my cakes and cookies are way better than anything store-bought.
Also, should I tell you that I tripped and fell and made another tray of the donut inspired cinnamon sugar/ jam donut cupcakes? It wasn't my fault, I swear! Treats for the kids for school :p
