The west is admittedly a very lovely place, especially Oregon and Washington. Where did you land?

I was watching a mini documentary about the pioneers and most of them walked some 14+ miles a day. I can do that in hiking boots, but in what those women wore back then?? Ugh. Swelter and blister party.
