This is my first participation in the Ladies of Hive community. I hope you are doing well and I am delighted with this week's initiative.
The question is: What are you most thankful for right now?
I have a lot to be thankful for at this moment as 2021 has just gone, a year that was quite complicated in every way, the one that left me with many learnings literally every month.
I begin to give thanks for my health, in the middle of the pandemic I was able to continue working from home and only went out for what was necessary, this situation and option not many people had. In the month of June I was complicated by another issue that was not covid 19. I had my first operation, which was for appendicitis. Thanks to God, the doctors, nurses and my family that everything went well.
I am very thankful for my family, even though they are all scattered in different parts of the world they are well, they are healthy and I can communicate with them at any time. In 2020 we lost my dad to covid, it was a very hard moment for all of us and last year we missed him very much his messages, his hugs and his jokes.
I thank 2021 for all the crisis situations I was involved in, I cried a lot, it hurt, it worried me but I always had faith that everything was going to be ok. It made me see who I can count on in good times and bad. It made me realize that life is too short to live it sad, that no matter what happens, time does not stop, it follows its rhythm.
There is a phrase that is very true: "Do not expect to have everything to enjoy life. You already have life to enjoy everything" Anonymous.
It is difficult to believe that we do not need anything to live, but it is true, when we really believe it, the rest comes without looking for it, you just attract it.

Wonderful to welcome you to Ladies of Hive in 2022.
Losing a parent somehow suddenly makes us realize how precious life is, how quickly it is able to be taken away.
Appendicitis another infliction we cannot control, grateful when removed safely onto full recovery during these trying times.
Good luck in the contest and have a lovely day.

I'm sorry about your dad; it's tough to lose a parent.
You sound like you have an inner strength that sees your glass half full rather than half empty. I have always tried to adopt that philosophy as well. Thanks for sharing and have a lovely day!
Thank you for your nice words @elizabethbit I think that with time one accepts that loved ones will no longer be among us and that we will have another kind of relationship with them from the heart.
Yes, I try to see all the good, I know that everything happens for a reason, to teach us and I prefer to see it that way to move forward. You are welcome, have a good weekend.
💜🤗
I lost my father many years ago but I feel he is always near me. In my thoughts often and in my dreams, I see him as if he never aged, I am grateful for my beautiful memories of him. Somehow, I know he is proud of his grandsons that he never met.
Thanks @elisocial for sharing
@kerrislravenhill 😊 what a nice experience you have with your dad, that connection is never lost. I'm sure he is very proud of you and your family.
