Hello, girls!
Last night I celebrated my 30th anniversary concert, and I want to share my joy with you.
Shortly before, I was interviewed on television, so if you've seen me, you know where and when it was.
I was very happy about this interview, as the interviewer is an audiovisual producer who has received several awards in his career. And the most recent program I participated in won one of those awards.
My concert was a journey through my career over the past 30 years. The first thing I did was play as a soloist.
I started with classical works and then moved on to composers from my country. Those authors who were my teachers and to whom I owe what I am.
An artist, a person, should always be grateful to those who shaped us.
The concert was a packed house, which made me very happy.
The next section of the concert was dedicated to my guitar quartet "Sultasto." You are a quartet made up of four women, four mothers, four teachers at the professional art school.
All the pieces we played were my arrangements.
So, my 30th anniversary couldn't be any different. I asked the guitar orchestra's conductor, Isaac Nicola, to allow me to conduct one of my arrangements.
And of course, he agreed.
When I began my professional career 30 years ago, I did so in the #Havana Guitar Orchestra. In Sonantas Habaneras, I pursued my career as the first guitarist and its conductor.
At the end, the director of the music company and the director of culture for the province surprised me with two recognitions for my work. For these 30 years defending our culture.
They say 30 years are nothing, but they are. During these years, I have performed for hundreds of hours and given thousands of classes in various provinces of my country. And even in other countries.
In these 30 years of artistic career, I have been able to play with top-level and internationally renowned artists. But the most important thing is that I've made a name for myself. I've made history by being the only concert artist interested in having an all-female guitar quartet. I'm also the only nominee for a Covadisco Award in the instrumental category in my province.
But the best thing about these last 30 years is that I've been able to improve myself every day and in every aspect of my life. In these years, I've become a mother, I've matured, I've created my own group, I've earned a master's degree, won an international award in musicology, and I'm pursuing a doctorate.
And at the same time, I've made time to spend with my children and my husband.
30 years are nothing, they're not a short time either. The thing is, I've made the most of them. I haven't asked for a single day in these last few years. Every hour that passes is an opportunity for improvement, and we have to take advantage of it.
So, girls, congratulate me and be happy for me. And if you stop by the tunas, I'll definitely play for you.

En la noche de ayer celebré mi concierto por el 30 aniversario de vida artística, y quiero compartir mi alegría con ustedes.
Poco antes me realizaron una entrevista para la televisión, así que si me ven, ya saben dónde y cuándo fue.
Me dio mucha alegría esta entrevista, ya que el entrevistador es un realizador audiovisual que ha recibido varios premios en su carrera. Y el más reciente programa en el que participé, ganó uno de esos premios.
Mi concierto fue un recorrido por mi carrera durante estos últimos 30 años. Lo primero que hice fue tocar como solista.
Comencé por las obras clásicas y luego continúe por los autores de mi país. Por aquellos autores que fueron mis maestros y a los que les debo de lo que soy.
Un artista, una persona, siempre debe estar agradecida hacia aquellos que nos formaron.
El concierto fue a sala llena cosa que me alegró muchísimo.
El siguiente bloque del concierto estuvo dedicado a mi cuarteto de guitarras “Sultasto”. Sos un cuarteto compuesto por cuatro mujeres, cuatro madres, cuatro profesoras en la escuela profesional de arte.
Todas las obras que tocamos fueron arreglos míos.
Así que en mi 30 aniversario no podía ser diferente. Le pedí a director de la orquesta de guitarras Isaac Nicola, que me permitiera dirigir un arreglo mío.
Y por supuesto que accedió.
Cuando comencé hace 30 años mi carrera profesional lo hice en la orquesta de guitarras de la #Habana. En Sonantas Habaneras, realicé mi carrera como primera guitarra y su directora de la orquesta.
Al finalizar me sorprendieron la directora de la empresa de la música y la directora de cultura de la provincia, con dos reconocimientos por mi obra. Por estos 30 años defendiendo nuestra cultura.
Dicen que 30 años no son nada pero sí lo son. Durante estos años he interpretado cientos de horas he dado miles de clases en varias provincias de mi país. E incluso en otros países.
En estos 30 años de carrera artística he podido tocar con artistas de primer nivel y renombre internacional.
Pero lo más importante es que me he hecho un nombre, he hecho historia al ser la única concertista interés en tener un cuarteto de guitarras compuesto únicamente con mujeres. En sé la única nominada a un premio covadisco en la categoría instrumental de mi provincia.
Pero lo mejor de estos últimos 30 años que he podido superarme cada día y en cada aspecto de mi vida. En estos años me he convertido en madre, he madurado, he creado mi propio grupo, hice una maestría, gané un premio internacional en musicología y estoy realizando doctorado.
Y al mismo tiempo logro hace tiempo para compartir con mis hijos y mi esposo.
30 años no son nada no son poco tampoco. Lo que sucede es que yo los he aprovechado. No he pedido ni un día de estos últimos años. Cada hora que pasa es una oportunidad de superación y tenemos que aprovecharla.
Así que, chicas, felicítenme alégrense por mí. Y si pasan por las tunas, de seguro que tocaré para ustedes.
