The Place Of Mothers In The Society // LOH Contest - #184
About three weeks ago, I went for a burial in my area and some young men were talking about the relevance of parents, one mentioned that "if he has his way to decide whom to first die among his parents, he would love to keep his mom and let his father go first.
Most of us there picked offense because we were all men standing there, we felt betrayed. An old man standing there was also hurt so he asked the young man why he said that and the boy said.
"He knows that fathers are the head of the family and provide all that is needed but without a supportive mother, a family will never stand. He went further telling us how his mom was the reason why he is disciplined, how she struggled to ensure they eat even when there was literally nothing at home." In the end, I had to support his points because he was right.
Both parents are very important but honestly, most mothers play double roles in the family. I am saying this from experience. My dad died about three years ago but I don't feel the heat because my hard-working mother has single-handedly filled the space he left.
Mothers are important pillars in society, their place can't be replaced. Left to me almost 90% of a child's building rests on the mother. Whatever a child becomes in society is the handiwork of his or her mother.
Most of the time, fathers barely have time to interact with their children, in fact, some fathers deliberately don't want to be around their kids but a mother no matter her busy schedule will still make time to spend with the kids, that's why you see most children prefer their mom's to their dad's.
Mothers are the persons behind who we are today, whatever we display out there, whatever will become a lot of times comes from the teachings we get from home, and who gives the teachings most times? "Mothers."
She can mold a child into anything. A mother is the only person who can be a nurse, a teacher, a cook, a counselor, a disciplinarian, a comforter, a friend, and more at the same time. Through the gift of love that she is endowed with, she can work miracles in the life of her kids. Take a mother of the society and I don't know what the world would look like.
Unfortunately, some mothers don't know the potential they carry, they allow their kids to waste away. It hurts me so much but I wish their eyes could be opened, the destiny of a child can be shaped by a good mother. I know it's not an easy thing, but mothers have the Potency to change the world. If only they would decide to take their place and properly raise their children, I assure you the world would be a better place.
Both parents are important in making society a good place but the role of a mother is double, she is two in one, and she can be a mother and a father at the same time. This is why even when a husband dies any family who has a responsible mother will continue to grow.
On the other hand, a lot of the time, when a mother dies, leaving the father, things get messed up, because the man's capacity is too small, there is a limit to what he can do. Shout out to our mothers, they are the pillars of society. Without them there wouldn't have been a society.
Is the man's capacity too small or society has taught him that there is little he can do when it comes to grooming?
Evidently, women are multi-faceted especially when it comes to roles. If superpowers were things, women would have already had them. Even at my age, I wonder how my mother managed to do all that stuff raising us. It was just magical.

There is a common thread between mothers and children that never perishes. A very special extraordinary connection that, from my perspective, transcends beyond death. However, that bond can also be seen developed between father and children. Perhaps it is a kind of lottery where many are favored and a few others fall into the scale of exceptions. I hope that many of us are located within the first line.
