Our life depends on many things and things come to us when we purchase them. For purchasing all these things we need money and money is controlled by the governments. During covid pandemic world economy was down. Governemnts pumped money and it went up. Then inflation increased and slow down came, when slowdown came, interest rates went up, when interest rates went up, slow down escalated. So, governments had to cut interest rates. This is very very complex for people like me. What governemnts do, why they do, when they do? All these questions are very difficult to answer.
Now Mr. Trump has become the US president. His policies are very confusing for the whole world. Those policies are creating a sense of apprehension and uncertainty in global markets. It means we may face further economic problems in future. That will be a disaster for people like me. I work in a store and get only that much which allows me to survive anyhow. If recession comes, I may face many problems like cut in my salary or even losing my job. Economy is a playground of rich people but poor people like me suffer a lot because of their play. I request them to spare people like me.
I think about these issues. I can't control anything. So, I have no choice but to relax and wait for the future to come. Till then I can enjoy my life. Today, I had a holiday. I did yoga and meditation. It helped me to get over my worries. Yoga and meditation can't solve my problems but they can help me to fight against them with a resilience.

@erica005, I sent you anI remembered back in 2008 how the recession and the market melt down wiped out the savings of many people here. Things did get better but I knew it could happen again and planned for the long term and not to be in a financially vulnerable position again.
There were things I could control; like living below my means, frugal spending, budgeting, working extra shifts, learned investing and economics, creating an Emergency fund, working side jobs, learning new skills, etc.
In a nutshell, I usually accumulated savings in abundant good times, to weather the bad times. I was disciplined, maybe lucky at times but creative in building a savings nest egg,
