Hello dear Ladies of Hive! I hope you are all feeling great. Today I'm here again to participate in the questions of the week from @saffisara. It's interesting, I think I could answer both questions in one because I would be talking about the same person in each answer.

Who, or what, inspires you? ~ Who was your role model growing up?

Without hesitation, both answers point to my mom. I can't think of any other person who inspired me and was my role model growing up. My family is not very big and the only adults in my life growing up were my parents, a grandmother and my godparents, nothing else. My mom knew how to raise me in her own way, after having two boys, she finally got me, her girl. So she was happy to be able to share those mother-daughter things, although she was never a very conventional mother. She didn't punish or hit or anything, she knew how to challenge me when I misbehaved and I would obey her orders and calm down. However, I must say that I was not a problem child either, I was always very quiet so I did not cause problems either as a child or now as an adult. Maybe if I had had a more rebellious phase it would have been a different story, who knows.

The thing is that we are a great team with my mother and I really admire her. She had to go through very hard times since she was young, like interrupting her studies to start working and take care of her younger sister because her father got sick very young with a terrible disease like cancer and her mother was in charge of taking care of him. So he had to grow up very fast and yet he was always characterized by being a beautiful person both inside and out. I don't want to go into details, but more terrible things happened to her, yet she never stopped fighting in life. She is my example of resilience and my greatest pride. I am her daughter and I am amazed to be her daughter because she inspires me like no one else.
