I hope this season finds you in good health and happiness.
This week's contest is all about how we enjoy entertainment. One thing about us women is that we can never overlook entertainment, it's a big part of our mental well-being and overall happiness. Life can get stressful, so it’s important not to let sadness take over. A little entertainment can go a long way!

Now to the big question: am I a book freak or a movie freak? Honestly, I belong to both!

There’s a special kind of value I get from reading books. And when I say books, I mean self-help, financial, religious, and motivational books. Sometimes, I just don’t feel like staring at a screen. That’s when books become my escape.

But why do I love both? Because each one teaches me something different.

•Books help me learn new words, understand how to structure content, and write more engagingly. I often study how chapters are organized and how ideas flow in the books I read.

•Movies, on the other hand, bring stories to life. Sometimes, I understand things better when I see them acted out.

Let me give you an example from the Bible.
I once read about the life of Jesus, from His childhood to His resurrection. I tried to picture it all in my mind while reading, but it was only when I watched the movie version that everything clicked! The scenes brought the message to life in a deeper way than I expected.

I’m not saying reading is boring , not at all! But as women, I believe we can combine both books and movies. If you're always glued to your screen, pick up a book now and then. If reading feels dull sometimes, a movie might give you a fresh perspective.

In the end, both forms of entertainment help us grow, learn new things, and even sharpen our minds. So why choose one when you can enjoy both?
Also, if you neglect reading for a long time, even if you're a fast reader, you may begin to develop the habit of slow reading. Sometimes, you might need to read a page twice before fully grasping the idea. It doesn’t mean you have a poor memory , not at all. It’s just that when you stop doing something for a while, you naturally lose the flow. As a woman, I’ve noticed this personally. I’m not sure how it is for men though.

Thanks for reading, and do enjoy your festive season with joy.
Bye for now!
