Introducing myself here on Hive has literally been one of the most difficult things for me to do, honestly, if I had my way I would make sure I evade it but it's quite funny ๐ that I just can't and I have to find a way around it. I hope it doesn't turn out to be boring but it interests everyone who reads it.
My name is Faith Jeremiah fondly called Faithy by my friends and family, and also called Federica by one of my favourite uncles. The name Federica is of Italian origin and it means a peaceful ruler. I find the meaning of the name endearing and lovely and somehow over the years, I've loved people calling me Federica, maybe because my first name Faith is common and you can find at least one person bearing that name in every gathering lol ๐, and sometimes I just want to be addressed by a name that is particular to me and not really common.
Adding "h" to Federica was as a result of coming on hive and seeing that the name Federica had already been used, so I decided to add "h" to it. In all, my love for the name Federicah made me want to use it as my username here on Hive.
I was introduced to Hive by @ibbtammy, who would always say Federica come and join Hive. She would always find a way of mentioning hive in every of our conversations. In her usual words "I met so so person on Hive", " Hive taught me this and Hive taught me thatโ, and "Hive is interesting" and the list is endless. Over time being the inquisitive person that I am, I became interested in knowing what Hive is all about and I decided to come on board. Although I haven't really figured out my way around the blockchain but I know with time I will be able to navigate around it and optimize it whilst having a beautiful and memorable time here.
I come from a family of four, comprising of 3 girls and a boy. I'm the 3rd child and also the 3rd daughter. I'm from the Southern part of Nigeria, Rivers State to be precise. I was born and raised in Port Harcourt, which is the capital city of Rivers State. I had my primary and secondary education in Port Harcourt, and I obtained my college degree from the prestigious University of Port Harcourt, where I studied Pharmacy.
My journey in Pharmacy school was indeed an unforgettable experience, one characterized by a rollercoaster of emotions. I think going through Pharmacy school was one of the hardest and most challenging things I've done in my life.
There were moments I felt I couldn't continue and I really wanted to give up but thanks to my close friends and family, who were always there to encourage me to continue.
Pharmacy school brought out certain abilities in me, that I never knew I possessed, which include the ability to work under pressure, perseverance, effective time management, the ability to read for extended periods of time, and a whole lot of others.
Also, there were so many fond memories I made during my stay there that would live with me forever, like the friends I made, they were the most amazing set of people I met that made my stay there enjoyable, the fun moments we had were heavenly.
I like to describe myself as a bibliophile, my love for books cannot be quantified. I'm an ardent reader of books both fiction and nonfiction, but I tend to read more of fiction. The fact that books can literally take you to places where you've never physically been to is fascinating. All the plots, the suspense, the climax, the plot twists, the characters, and everything in between make reading very enjoyable to me. I visualize every book I read in my mind and it is usually very interesting.
I am a very lovable and sweet person to people who know me. I am of the school of thought that my friend's or family's problem is also my problem. I can never turn a blind eye to my friends or family going through challenges and I don't offer to help, I always try to go the extra mile for those I care about.
I am a very sensitive person, people's gestures, body language, and attitude towards me never go unnoticed. Immediately I step into a place for the first time I tend to read the room to see if I'm genuinely accepted by the people there. Once I notice the positive energy around the place I tend to go with the flow, have fun and just enjoy my time there, but if I notice that I'm not welcomed I tend to avoid being in such places.
One striking quality about me is that I am a good listener. I'm that person who would always give a listening ear to anyone who comes to me to talk. I'm that person who my friends literally come to, to vent, to share whatever is bothering them and I give them 100% of my attention without judging them or being biased.
I love music a lot ๐, the fact that music has a way of helping me relax and brings me a kind of peace that is indescribable is so amazing. Once I am less busy, you will always find my headset plugged to my ear, while listening to various songs. I always have a playlist of my favourite songs which I usually listen to. It's just unfortunate that I'm not really a very good singer but that notwithstanding I try to sing alongside whenever I'm listening to music.
I'm a lover of movies too. I normally watch movies based on recommendations or probably after going through reviews. I watch different genres of movies from action, romance, contemporary, historical, etc, as far as the movie is interesting I'm ever ready to watch it.
It's quite surprising, that I found it challenging to write an intro initially but here I am, having written almost all of my life history ๐ within a short while. I enjoyed writing every bit of this and I look forward to writing more.
I am glad to be part of the Hive community, a platform that provides me with an opportunity to write about my lifeโs journey, experiences, thoughts, and adventures without being judged or trolled.
I hope to meet new people, build new connections, and learn alot from Hive, as I've been rightly told that Hive is a community of lovable people. I definitely know that I'm going to have a swell time here.
