May all of us receives uncountable blessings. More so, to be bombarded with tons of opportunities and to unlock lots of goals. Most of all, to attain and maintain this 3Hs: "Happiness, Healthiness, Humbleness." Continue slaying, ladies!

To begin with, the 115th entry of LOH Contest comprised of two different yet highly interesting questions such as:
1️⃣ What lifestyle plans have you made for 2023? Are you going to be visiting friends and family more regularly? Over the past couple of years of not seeing loved ones, has your attitude altered rather to face the future visiting and caring for each other as was previously done, being by the side of those requiring help, the young desperately needing extended families, meeting to encourage natural immunities, or whatever life throws our way?
2️⃣ With Inflation hitting most countries, what plans have you made to keep within budgets? Are you armed with information before doing your grocery shopping, paying insurance bills, and utility bills? All is ever increasing, except earnings, where many obtain no inflationary increase — or worst still, not earning an income.
As a self-proclaimed goal-centered lady, I am always fascinated of talking about goals, plans, finances, or anything tackling about "life improvements." However, let's have a talk about QUESTION NO. 2.
As another year begins, most of us starts to aim for bigger progress and greater success.
The process will surely not be easy for us like how it used to be on the previous years. Thus, I assure everyone that most or all of the goals will all be achieved. Slowly but surely!
One of my greatest goals this 2023 is: "to attain financial improvements."
But considering the inflation which causes uncontrollable global financial struggles , how could I possibly manage to acquire financial-related goals?
Here's the effective ways that I have been practicing for years to cope up with such financial burdens caused by the global inflation:
MAKE A MONTHLY BUDGET.
Since we moved out to another boarding house, I increased the allotted monetary budget to PhP 5000.00 ($89.70). This amount can accommodate the following: 2-3 weeks grocery supplies, medicines, house rent, and my personal needs (schooling, snacks, etcetera).
Nonetheless, setting a monthly budget wouldn't be enough. An individual must strongly stick to it and don't attempt to exceed on the budget whenever it's not necessary.
REDUCE EXPENSES.
In order to hold onto the budget, avoid spending too much. In short, be mindful on everything that we are bound to allot money.
Considering the inflation of various goods, here's a suggestion of mine that you can use whenever your buying goods:
Instead of purchasing an item in a mall or high-end grocery shops, you can opt to shop in a local supermarkets and even in public markets. The prices are a bit cheaper but still, we can possibly spend lesser.
Look for products with "lower price yet competent quality."
Take advantage of coupons and sales promotion.
" Sales promotion ... is a marketing tactic aiming to increase sales. It includes: BOGOF (Buy One, Get One Free), Percentage Discounts, On Sale products, and even Free Shipping."
In addition, do not always blame the high expenses to the ongoing and emerging inflation. If a person knows how to properly and responsibly handle money? He/she could reduce expenses.
CONSIDER A "SIDE JOB!"
Remembering what Elon Musk had stated before: "Do not settle for a single job" do simly define what "side job" means.
Expenses are increasing, day by day. But do you believe that "as income [earnings] increase, expenses pumps even higher as well"? Basically, I agree to it. Once a person had an increase in income, earning or profit? He tends to spend more than usual. Therefore, sticking to a single job wouldn't be advisable. If there's an opportunity to have a side job [side hustling], grab it.
Since December, I start to earn lesser in blogging which serves as my main source of earnings. In order to continuously allot budget for such needs, I intended to make my own resolutions. These are:
- Apply for a job. By November, I received a job offer to work as an encoder-slash-cashier in an art shop. Apparently, there isn't a confirmation 'til now.
Furthermore, another job offer came and this is what I had grabbed. It is to work as a Laundry Staff where Mom also works and the salary? It'll start at PhP 4000.00 ($71.60) and can possibly increase on the next months. And, good news! I am bound to start working by Monday, January 09.
- Open up a small business. This January, I am targeting to put up a "perfume decant business" and to pursue selling off face masks.
As of now, I am quite fast approaching to earn back what I had spent in purchasing the stocks of face masks:
Regarding to the "perfume decant business", I already have these stuffs: Victoria's Secret perfume, customized sticker labels & aesthetic decant sleeves with adhesive plastics.
CLOSING THOUGHTS
Our day-to-day life won't be completed with spending money. Therefore, expenses filled our days and the inflation made most of the things revolves way more difficult.
However, do not purely blame the inflation on why we struggle financially. At the end of the day, it's still about on how we manage our finances wisely, in accordance and effectively.
I ain't saying this because I am rich or what, because I am not. But, it's based on facts and experiences. Let's continue digging up for more money while being responsible and practical.

Pursuing more than one way earning has proven to be fruitful for many, watching how we spend, save what we are able, in no time one starts watching trends, prices and places to invest wisely.
Buying from local market or corner stores normally family owned, I have always supported, finding not only lower prices in fruits and vegetables, also the odd treats much cheaper than in Mall or Superstores visited. Never buy clothing, shoes on credit, save up before making small purchases, try avoid debt wherever one is able.
