It is another year, and I want to thank God for keeping alive to see another year that is filled with so much opportunities.
There is no one here who does not have plans of what they want to achieve this year. Whether it a written down or non written down goals, we are all aiming for something new to achieve this year. It might be a new goal that we've set for ourselves towards the new year, or it is a carry over of goals that we could not achieve last year and we are planning on achieving them this year.
I had a lot of carry over goals and plans from last year that I am still hoping of achieving this year. And also there are new goals that I have also written down, so it is going to be a long year with so much work for me.
My plans for the year
Early last year, I successfully gain admission into the university of my choice, and I was very happy. Even though I thought that was new and happy beginning for me, things did not go as plan.
Last year, After gaining admission in the university, I unfortunately lost my Dad. It was a painful and challenging situation for me. My Dad was the one that is supposed to sponsor my education and now he is no more. Last year I really struggled to pay my fees in school, even my younger ones who were is still high school were also struggling. My younger brother had to stay at home for months because my mom was still struggling to pay the fees.
I experienced hell while at school last year because there was no sponsor. I was feeding fro hand to mouth. But thank God I was able to scale through.
This year, I have told myself that I would do everything possible to make sure that I am financially independent. I want to get to myself to a position where I can feel for myself and my younger ones. I feel for them because they have no one to help them, and also I feel for myself for not being able to help them come out from such a situation.
This year I will give a try to some business out there and see the one that favours me. Last I year I did a lot of online things and jobs that promise to give money in return, but not of them yielded a good results. I was even scammed by an unknown person online who convinced and confused me to invest my hard earned money in a ponzi scheme that I had little knowledge about. The person use my desperation to scam me.
I have learnt my lesson and I am never going to make such a mistake again in my life. I want to these online jobs that promise to give nothing for now and focus more on real business. Apart from my blogging here on Hive, and focus more on offline business. I am starting with a clothing business.
So I have this boutique that I'm affiliated with. I help then promote their business, and make sales. They promise me that I will get commissions for every successful sales that I make for them, and also for referrals made. I would love to try this one and see how it goes.
My major aim this year is to be financially free. I don't want to go through this year again with the struggle of where to get money to take care of myself and my loved ones. Financial freedom is the goal.

The loss of father is one of the greatest loss anyone can have in this world. Life truly becomes difficult when the care taker passes away.

I am very sorry about your father my friend, it must have been a very difficult situation for you and your family, thank God you have been able to move forward, that is what life is about, recovering after a fall and moving forward.
