Do I like makeup?
Yes I absolutely love make-up.
I have the passion for makeup since my teenage years. I used to save up money just to buy trendy lip glosses, and over time, my interest grew into something much deeper. I loved seeing people around me look beautiful, and makeup became my tool to enhance their beauty.
At some point in time I couldn't go out without makeup, makeup was just part of what help boost my confidence. I was practically addicted.

So my parents (Dad)noticed my passion for beauty enhancement and enrolled me in one of the beauty academy in my area. Over there I learnt more about makeup techniques and it's application.
And this skill became incredibly useful during my university years.
How does makeup makes me feel?
Whenever I wear makeup, I feel so confident and elegant, especially when I take my time to do it right. Sometimes I am in a Rush and my makeup doesn't eat.😆

My makeup routine.
Because I have an oily face and I sweat a lot I use some very good products to prevent my makeup from ruining.
Before applying my makeup I do the following:

  1. Cleanser: I start by cleansing my face to remove dirt and oil buildup. I use a product called simple.
  2. Serum: I apply my Vitamin C serum for hydration and glow. I use Dr T
  3. Moisturizer: I focus moisturizing my face, especially my under-eyes.
  4. Primer: I apply primer on my T-zone to control oil.
  5. Sweat Block: Though it doesn’t completely prevent sweating, it helps my makeup stay in place for long.
  6. Setting Spray: I set all these base products before moving on to the rest of my makeup.

After prepping my skin I move on to apply my foundation, draw my brows, apply eyeshadow, eyeliner and mascara and then my lipstick. I like blush on people but I personally prefer not to use them.

So these routines are different for different skin type dry oily and combination skin I use different techniques for different face shape and skin types.

I like to enhance the face and not transform into something else (only if requested) most of my clients appreciate their looks each time because they say they still recognise themselves.

I love a simple, moderate, and elegant look nothing too over the top. Last year, I attended an advanced makeup training session where I learned new techniques that have been valuable to my business.

I have so far beautify a lot of people on their big days, I feel so excited and honoured anytime I am contacted to come glam people up for their big day
Sometimes I travel out my base just to attend to a client it's not easy but it's something I find joy doing.

These are some of the looks I created.

So am I an expert? Well I will say not yet because I still have a lot to learn. Before the end of this year I will be travelling to another state for an upgrade.
At the moment, I work as a professional makeup artist in my area, enhancing beauty for a living, and I couldn’t be more grateful for this journey.

Sort:

I love how simple they all are. Am not a huge makeup person but I appreciate a good makeup artist when I see one, I don't know how to apply makeup funny enough.
Is there any tips for someone who is just interested to know the basic for herself, what are the most relevant makeup items i can get for just a simple day to day look?, so i can start practicing on myself.
