How it likely happened so many years ago🥰

Doctor: “Ma’am please can you push”. The doctor said.

My mum: “Arrrrrghhhhhhhhhh”, she screamed amidst tears.

Doctor: “Again Ma'am,” the doctor said calmly.

My mum: “Arrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrrghhhhhhhhhh, doctor I can’t do this” she said fear laced in her voice.

Doctor: “Yes you can, just calm down and go again”.

Aunt Charlotte: “Gloria just calm down ok?”

My mum: “I am calm!” She yelled.

Aunt Charlotte: I know that you can push this baby out because honestly there’s no money for a Cesarean section.

My mum glared at her sister for mentioning Cesarean section out of the blue, but she was going to deal with her later not now when she was struggling for her life and that of her baby.

Doctor: “Madam push, I can see the baby’s head”. The doctor said excitedly.

With everything she had Gloria Tamunokuro pushed like her life depended on it and Tada! Ibinabo Tamunokuro was born, a healthy and beautiful baby graced the surface of this earth and turned her family around🙃🙃🙃

Lol pardon my dramatic antics, I am so happy today, like who doesn't get excited on their freaking birthday!!

Firstly, this would be my first time celebrating my birthday on Hive, secondly, my friend introduced me to Hive as my birthday gift last year which turned out to be the best birthday gift of all time and lastly, I am healthy and strong to celebrate today.

A few days ago, I wasn't this excited as I had a lot going on in my life. I suddenly lost interest in everything, I was neither happy nor sad, I was just indifferent and to crown it all I had a swollen eye, I was worried sick, I thought it was going to get in the way of me celebrating my birthday, how do you comfortably enjoy your birthday with a swollen eye? how do you cope when everyone keeps asking what is wrong with your eye or them being all sympathetic to you?
I made a post about my feelings on Hive a few days ago but guess what today the narrative is different as I am celebrating my birthday with my eyes complete and in perfect condition and I am genuinely happy.

This birthday was supposed to be a quiet one but how it took a different turn still surprises me.

I've been all smiles since morning, hugging and saying thank you to everyone, boy after today I don’t think I’ll use that word again as I have overused it!
My phone has been blowing up with so many birthday messages and calls, I have been getting the Princess treatment and right now I want my birthday to roll over to the next week😂😂. Lol, what? can't a girl wish for something nice?😁

I woke up not feeling the birthday spirit at first and I wasn't surprised as this happens every 14th September.
I usually feel this way because I honestly don't like people all over my face and in my space and I don’t do well with being in the spotlight but that changed the moment I got into my office, it was more like I left all my worries outside and stepped into a new world, a world where I could smile and laugh to my satisfaction without worrying about a thing.

I am happy to be alive to see today, I am happy to have survived the turbulent times and to have not given up on myself.

Happy Birthday to me again and cheers to more fruitful years🥰🥰
