Hello, ladies and everyone in the Hive!
Growing up, I was more of a Daddy's girl and even up until this time, I'm the same as the young me who lean towards my old man. Not that I have anything against my mother, she's awesome too but I'm closer to Dad for as long as my memory could take me back to my childhood years.

Back then, Dad would teach us how to play deck of cards especially during the rainy season where none of us could go outside of the house. Our living room were always filled with laughter and fun every time Dad played his tricks on us and he'd always win the game. Away from play time, he'd narrate tales and would tell us the good and the bad (lessons) afterwards. He was also the reason why I developed the habit of reading. I shared this in my article "The FarmGirl Reads Too" previously.
When I reached my teenage years, his way of teaching things changed a bit. He'd say things indirectly or in a more philosophical way and it was up to me to catch up what he truly meant. I don't have any memory of him scolding me those years probably because I always listened to him. When my sisters and I went to university, he encouraged us to write them letters which we did and we enjoyed doing so, sending them cards even.
Then I got married and still, I'd seek his thoughts and advice most of the time. He's more difficult and a little grumpy now as he is growing a lot older and wouldn't explain things clearly that sometimes I'm left wondering about what he really meant. I think he's testing my logic but my grasp is limited so I usually consult my younger brother and he'd make things clearer for me, lol! He's a lot smarter in understanding our Dad and older folks.

There are a lot of people who have influenced me one way or another and taught me things that helped me grow as a person, but one who really stood out amongst the rest and who impacted and influenced my life (and continues to do so) in more ways than one is none other than my very own father. From having fun, discipline, life, philosophy, relationships, spirituality, to managing finances, eating healthily and almost everything else, he was the one I always look up to, seek advice and learn the most from.
There are times when we don't agree on things but I always end up feeling better after listening to what he has to say. Observing him, his words and his deeds will always leave me with something new to ponder upon. And did I mention he was the one who taught us how to use the sewing machine? Yes, that's right.
This is my participation to this week's LOH writing challenge by @tibaire for the first question, re:
We have all had a person who has helped us grow. Sometimes that teacher taught us with love, other times learning was a challenge. We want you to tell us about that person who helped you in the evolution of your life, it could be a boss, a friend, an acquaintance, a coworker, etc.
And @eylz619 you might wanna check this out😍
Thank you and have a wonderful day.

Smile... laugh often... love more... be happy and grateful ALWAYS!

It's wonderful to see this connection between you and your father. People say nothing beats a father's love. Reading this, I have to agree. And it's true that they all get grumpy as they age. Do you think it'll happen to us too? 😂
Just to remind you that you're an amazing soul. You are kind and your words are kind too. You touch hearts and you always make people smile. You're also brave and Fierce. Encourage a fellow Fiercer today and enjoy making new memories.
Love ❤️,
Deraaa
Haha, that we will see when we get there🤣
And thank you so much for your beautiful words. You are one awesome soul too❤ My heart is flattered and joyful. I appreciate you. God bless you🙏
😊... God bless you too ❤️
Your dad is a wonderful being and it's amazing you learned a lot from him. Today, you are enjoying the benefits of listening to his advices and earning his teachings. Good for you, daddy's girl.... 😉😍
Quick reminder, don't forget we have a good star to earn today, you might as well continue in your dad's legacy, and spread words of advice, encouragement, and happiness to the rest of the dreemers.... It will be awesome. I am positive. 💚

Thank you Iska, for your kind words🤗 and your reminders too of the day's challenge. I appreciate you and I hope you are on track as well. Cheering for you and your teem💪
You are welcome farm girl. Yes, I have checked all the boxes and gotten a gold star too. I am cheering for you and your teem too. 💚💚
Yay! That is so cool Iska and thank you lots🤗
My pleasure. 💚
That’s so nice to hear / read. I have no connection really with my parents. Never had. My dad died almost 10 years ago and my mom is already 88 now, maybe that large gap was one of the reasons….
I moved out when I was 16 years.
This warmed my heart… @ifarmgirl 🥰 beautiful!
Thank you @littlebee4. I am sorry about your dad... and you might be right, that perhaps the age gap and you moving out at a young age were some of the reasons indeed why you didn't have connection with your parents as you mentioned. But I hope you do keep in touch with your mom :)
I do keep in touch with her. We are sending each other some texts and photos every week at least 3 times.
She still is my mom, even the connection wasn’t big all my live.
(Me moving out was because there was no connection and a few other reasons)Thank you so much @ifarmgirl 🥰
Aww, that is awesome :) I love that you send each other text and photos at least thrice a week, that's a wonderful connection if you ask me :) Some don't even talk for months or years so you are doing absolutely well :)
Okay... I won't trespass this part...
It was different a while. We did go without contact for years. But that changed after my divorce and she getting older.
It’s nice and precious… those little moments. We do live in other countries so I haven’t seen her in over 2 years with the pandemic and she has an age now she won’t really want to travel anymore.
Thank you kindly 🥰

Thank you so much @ifarmgirl for listening and the warm wishes 😊🥰
So nice, you and you dad's relationship reminds me of my dad and I too.
For me, I love my dad for so many reasons because he is really an awesome dad.
Just a little reminder, keep focus on our aim as a teem with different teem, lolz.
Don't forget to drink water, observe your quiet time and also have your exercise to keep you fit.
Much love from #teemhope.
I am glad that you and your Dad have an amazing relationship too :) We love them despite their flaws too hehe.
And thank you for your boost, I am well on the way to checking off my second star for the week. I wish you the best too including your awesome teem members. Let's do this!💪
Yeah, despite their flaws.
Yeah, that's it, let take the star it's ours.
Thank you for your best wishes, I wish same dear.
Many thanks too and cheers to Teem Hope! 💪
It is so a wonderful story. Daddy is the best man in the world.
Thank you and yes they are :)
Thr type of bond that a good man shares with his children is a very strong one. I love it when a man shares a good bond with the child, it is always a beautiful sight to watch.
Thank you :) I also appreciate and love it when seeing other Dads have an awesome relationship and bond with their children. Always a lovely sight🌞
I was looking forward to seeing your post.
I am also a dad's girl. Dads are our superheros.. I am glad to have experienced my father's love before he passed away. May his soul rest in Peace.
My dad talked to me in parables too. He would just drop a hint and would let you decode. Sometimes I did decode and other times I wouldn't...
I enjoyed being with him
I am sorry about your Dad and may his soul rest in peace indeed and God bless him for making you feel loved and for leaving you with such good memories.🙏
Great you had such a Dad leading and guiding you, although it might become difficult while he gets older, for sure he had big impact on you. I love my Dad and we always have and had good times, but I never could step into conversations or discussions with him, dont know why, maybe it's becaus it lies in all Dad's natures to see there little girl in front of them ;-)
Thank you and I am glad too that you have good times with your Dad. Ain't they beautiful souls despite being flawed too?😊
I couldn't agree more and I love and appreciate you all for that❤ It's amazing how we all learn from each other. I got my Tuesday⭐ and I'm starting my 3rd day as of now so thank you for thinking of me today🤗
Aww!.
It feels so good reading this.
The connection between father and daughter, I love it.
Please do observe your quiet time today and drink water. Cheers if you're on track already.
Thank you Jess, for your kind words and for checking up on me for the dreemport challenge, I appreciate you🤗
This is interesting. Yes, I also remembered my Grandma taught us how to read and write especially in our native language. She would always scold I and my younger sister because she was a teacher then. We learnt many things from her and I enjoyed staying with my mama.
I enjoyed reading this and how you learnt so many things from your Dad.
Have you done your task today? Remembered your quiet time? What other things did you planned out in your goals? I hope you are done for Tuesday? Get the gold star ready for Friday 🥳🥳
Glad you have great memories of how you learned things from your grandma, and many thanks for reminding me to keep tabs on my goals. I did have my ⭐ for Tuesday and now gearing up for my Wednesday. I hope you are on track as well🌞
Great. I am on track too. Let´s do this 🤸♀️
That's awesome PrincessB! Yes, let's keep on💪
Another daddy’s girl... it’s so beautiful reading how much impact your dad has and had in your life.
Not often we get to see dads being praised for their works , dads deserve accolades too..
your dad is precious,
Thank you for Sharing with us
Haha yes, proud to say so😊 Dads are like moms, they are beautiful souls too.
So true
I can see clearly where you got Your good qualities from 😊😊😊.... So nice.
I used to be a Daddy's Girl too when I was much younger, but things kinda changed when I became a teenager..
I admire the kind of relationship you have with your father, up till this moment and I enjoyed reading your story as well.
Thank you for sharing.
Thank you @benii for your kind remarks. I wonder why yours changed when you grew up?
Yes, I still look up to him now even at my age😂
Life happened I guess, just got closer to mom, more than dad
Ah, that's okay. Things do change... Take care and have a wonderful day.
Or are you less sympathetic.. I am teasing CJ, it is great that you have and had a wonderful relationship with your father, a Daddy's girl!
Wonderful insight as to how he helped teach you and make you grow:)
I am back to see if you completed all your tasks!

I know you did so don't forget to drink your water, have your quiet time tomorrow and of course encourage your own teem mates CJ
Have a wonderful Wednesday and get that gold star and in the meantime ...
Hahaha that might be true though Tito Ed! But not too, coz even my sisters say the same. He's becoming difficult as he age😊
And I appreciate you and your teem for bringing cheer to my day. Happy much to be Tengo'ed today🌞
I know, I was teasing you. He is becoming a curmudgeon!
Our pleasure I appreciate all you guys bombasting us hehe!
A nice reflection on your dad. You can tell he has been very special in your life and has helped you understand your journey through it.
Thank you 😊 I am so grateful that he's been that amazing soul to me and my siblings too.
It sounds like your dad enjoys riddles? 😂Maybe you should challenge him with one :) ...
Hahaha, I should come up with something hard for him to answer, do you have something? lol!
I actually do, I'll send it on discord after #ping is over ♥️
Okay :) Now I have to check what that #ping is all about. It seems I'm missing out on a lot of things lately, lol!
Your father seems to be very special, Cj. I was closer to my dad than my mum too, and I miss him a lot. My mother and I are very similar in some ways, so sometimes we clash a bit, hehe.
I hope your Wednesday was great, sis. And that you got your star. 🤩😊
Yes amiga :) You and your mum sounds a lot like me and mother, lol! We look alike, we even behave the same but I wonder why we don't get along so well hehe
My day has been awesome, and yes, got my star, yay! I am waiting for our teem leeder's post so I could report it hehe. I hope you will have yours too at the end of the day :)
I think we don't get along too well because we are so alike, hehe ;)
Report to her in an old post, sis, so you can go to sleep, hehe! 😊🤗
That might be the reason, lol! Thank you sis, I did that and went to sleep very early, I think at 8pm, lol! Cheers to your evening sis!
Hi, sis! You went to sleep early, and woke up early too, lol
Happy day to you! :)🤗
Haha yes, I was up quarter to 6 am. Thank you amiga and it seems you are late to bed today hehehe
That's the hour I wake up every day when my son has to go to school. Sometimes I even wake up earlier to enjoy my coffee without rushing, hehe 😄😊
I've always thought most people are closer to their mum than to their dad. Seeing this made me have a different thought. I'm glad your dad influenced you positively.
How's your challenge going? Did you drink enough water? Did you encourage anyone? Please do well to get your star today.
I guess things like that happen hehe :) Thank you David for that. I was asleep when you came and it's now day 4 for me so yes, I will enjoy doing my tasks and won't sleep until I get the gold⭐
Please do get the gold star. I wish you all the best..
Thank you David and cheering for you too💪
