How did you hear about Hive blockchain and what made you join?
Remembering is living again, so thinking about how I joined the platform takes me back to my college days, it was in June 2018 and I was in a pretty difficult situation, I was studying at university and my son was little, I was staying with a friend who allowed me to stay at her house on the days I had classes, so I could only return to my city on the weekends to be with my son, I was having financial difficulties, so a very dear friend told me about the platform, she told me that through the creation of content I could earn cryptocurrencies that I could later exchange for money in the currency of my country, although at that time I knew absolutely nothing about cryptocurrencies and many people fell for scams on the internet, I trusted my friend a lot and therefore if she told me something was true I knew it was true.
She explained to me a lot about how the platform works and shared tutorials with me. When I created my account I made the introductory post. At that time there was a curation project called Cervantes that supported Spanish-language content creators. When I received their first vote I felt like all the work was worth it. I was really excited about the idea of being able to do what I like and have an income from it. I started sharing mostly my art, my crocheted fabrics, drawings, paintings, and also my poems. I had never felt so satisfied sharing the things I like on the internet and that could in some way help solve my other problems. From the first moment I trusted the platform because the information came to me from my friend's hand. Not only was it exciting to earn money but I also felt confident in the protection of my copyright when publishing original content. I think that was why I was really excited to join.
¿Cómo oíste sobre Hive blockchain y qué te hizo unirte?
Recordar es vivir nuevamente, así que pensar en cómo me uní a la plataforma me lleva mi época universitaria, fue en junio de 2018 y me encontraba en una situación bastante difícil, estaba estudiando a la universidad y mi hijo estaba pequeño, estaba residenciada con una amiga que me permitía quedarme en su casa los días que tenía clases, entonces solo podía regresar a mi ciudad los fines de semana para estar con mi hijo, tenía dificultades económicas, así que una amiga muy querida me hablo de la plataforma, me dijo que por medio de la creación de contenido podía ganar criptomonedas que podría luego cambiar por dinero en la moneda de mi país, aunque ara ese entonces no sabía absolutamente nada de las criptomonedas y muchas personas caían en estafas por internet, confiaba mucho en mi amiga y por lo tanto si ella me decía que algo era cierto yo sabía que era verdad.
Ella me explico mucho del funcionamiento de la plataforma y me compartió tutoriales, al crear mi cuenta hice el post de presentación, en aquel entonces existía un proyecto de curación llamado Cervantes que apoyaba a los creadores de contenido en español, al recibir el primer voto de ellos sentí que todo el trabajo valía la pena, me entusiasmó mucho la idea de poder hacer lo que me gusta y tener un ingreso por esto, comencé compartir sobre todo de mi arte, mis tejidos a crochet, dibujos, pinturas y también mis poemas, nunca había sentido tanta satisfacción al compartir las cosas que me gustan por internet y que pudiera de cierto modo ayudar a solventar mi otros problemas, desde el primer momento confié en la plataforma debido a que la información llego a mí de la mano de mi amiga, no solo emocionaba ganar dinero sino que además me sentí confiada en la protección de mi derecho de autor al publicar contenido original creo que ese motivo me entusiasmó mucho para unirme.
What's the best thing about Hive?
For me the best thing about Hive is that I feel like I'm free to write whatever I want without fear of my content being deleted or manipulated by others, just to mention an example, nowhere else do I feel the freedom to publish my poems as an unpublished author, I feel like it's my special place where only I own what I say, for me the best thing is to feel completely in control of my publications.
¿Qué hay de lo mejor de Hive?
Para mi lo mejor de Hive es que siento que soy libre de escribir lo que quiera sin temor a que mi contenido sea borrado o manipulado por otros, solo por mencionar un ejemplo en ninguna otra parte siento la libertad de publicar mis poemas como autora no publicada, siento que es mi lugar especial donde solo yo soy dueña de lo que digo, para mi lo mejor es sentirme completamente dueña de mis publicaciones.
