RE: Unwrap me like one of your French girls

Vanilla is always great. Sometimes when I am baking or using vanilla extract for something else, I will put a dab below my ear or decolletage like perfume. MMMMMmmmmmm..... so nice. Talk about aroma therapy.

Jasmine is close to the top of my list of scents too. I have a vine of white Jasmine entwining a corner of my back deck. It smells SO wonderful when it is blooming. It is a toss up for me between the smell of Jasmine and Honeysuckle.... both so pleasant.

Coffee.... I love coffee and I love the smell of it. If I had a candle burning that smelled like coffee, I might be enticed to make and drink more. Maybe I should resist. 😄

I love that inner-child Christmas feeling and yes, anytime I receive anything that I can create with, I get pretty excited.

Enjoyed your post.

Vanilla is just that good, I know what you mean. Most of my deoderant and perfume is vanilla. When I wanted to sell my first house, I actually sprayed diluted vanilla extract onto my couches and curtains and apart from the fact that I had the most wonderful estate agent, I think the vanilla clinched the deal.

I wish it was tropical enough here to grow vanilla.

The scent wafting across from Jasmine flowers is just heavenly, my neighbour here has both Jasmine and Honeysuckle and for some reason in the evenings I can smell it and it just bolsters my spirit. It's the only reason I go onto the deck at night lol. I had a lovely Jasmine that had just started to flower but I had to move so I gifted it to a good friend of mine. He sends me photos of it every now and again, so I'm glad it's where it should be.

People like you and me make gifting easy. Something that smells delicious will always be spot on 😁

I actually didn't expect my Jasmine vine to still be here as I thought our winter would kill it, but our last few winters have been mild, so this is the fourth summer it has lived happily snuggled close to the base of the deck. Every year it goes further and further. I have certainly enjoyed it. That is nice that your friend sends you photos of the one you gifted him.

I have heard about putting a little cinnamon, sugar and butter in the over, just on warm, to make a house smell inviting as if homemade cinnamon rolls are baking. It truly is amazing how scents affect us, whether we are aware or not.

I know I had a photo of it curling around the old metal chair, but it is also spreading out across the deck rail.

Oh yes, I saw that photo in your latest post, it just looks so right, the perfect spot to sit and literally smell the flowers! I love how you've decorated everything with so much colour and flair, it's beautiful. I wish your Jasmine many mild winters to come.
