Happy Tuesday, my dear Hivers! Our company recently received a 'Great Place to Work' badge for the year so the HR department is giving away cupcakes to celebrate the good news. Do I agree? Not totally, but I can honestly say I'm one of the people who gave a high rating on the survey. Therefore, I deserve this cupcake! Haha.
Kidding aside, I brought an orange since my cough and cold is back, yet again! I'm not supposed to eat sweets during this time, but it's so tempting. Choose your poison, they say.
It has been almost a year since I joined the company and I realize that I'm becoming a career woman. The things I do now is more focus on working, trading, blogging, reading, and learning, and less on cooking, gardening, and all other hobbies I used to enjoy. I realized that I'm becoming more like my mother.
My mother also love numbers as much as I do. She never enjoy household chores or any home activity. I remember when we were younger, we often order food as she dreaded cooking meals. She shows her love to us by doing errands and working really hard for us.
It's not necessarily a bad things I guess. Although I'd like to practice fermenting foods again so I could have instant meals that are healthy. Or create hand crafted arts like beaded necklace and bracelets.
In the afternoon, we ordered yet another sweet beverages from Zeus coffee- a purple yam (ube) drink which I find too sweet. But I finished the whole drink, anyway. I got caught up with my to-do list that time flew by quickly. This is my life, lately.
