Greetings ladies, I want to tell you that I liked this week's topic, especially because it reminded me of something I constantly repeat to myself, to get back into the habit of reading... Now, moving on to the question.

For those who would rather read than write, what are your current favorite book reads for that little "mental escape" or enlightenment? What got you into this book and why?
Actually, to give myself a mental escape, I don't have a particular book but I do have a favorite reading genre, the narrative genre, I like it a lot because I'm more into novels, short stories, tales, etc. I've tried to go towards poetry because I also love everything that has to do with romance and drama but many times I find myself confused because poetry often seems subjective, we can think that it means something and we wouldn't be sure of knowing if the author really wanted to convey that, in some cases, and I don't like to stay with uncertainty, not knowing if I'm interpreting something well or worse yet seeing my interpretation and thinking if something in my head must be failing for thinking what I think.
I remember several years ago I used to use Wattpad and I would read almost anything that expressed romance and fantasy because I like to lose myself in something magical and natural. I started to think about seeing if I have favorite books and for now my mind went through many places but I was unable to choose one in particular. Another curious thing I want to mention is that I always tend to have strange coincidences in my days, with this I mean, for example, today I was talking about Romeo and Juliet, I said that I really don't like it because it doesn't seem romantic to me, in fact everything is tragic and I could say even traumatic, if you are like me who sees the scenes that you read in your head, you will be able to understand that it is really traumatic. Anyway, what I wanted to get to is that then I come here and see this particular topic and I felt the connection between both things, and many times my days are filled with connections like that.

No doubt reading creates that kind of mental connection, I'm sure that the interpretation you make is the right one my friend, it happens to me that when I don't understand what I do is reread and yes, the story of Romeo and Juliet is very tragic,

When I was working as a community visit nurse I had time between visits and often fill my time reading at a coffee shop. A used Books store was walking distance away and I find various paperback for as low as 25 Cents, that's cheap reading. It can get a little addicting, Ha ha! Sadly, that Book store went out of business. Now I regularly get www.bookbub.com feed on my phone on electronic book titles. I prefer the feel of paperbacks.
