No pictures of the wound?
I read about another Hiver showing the Hive world how he accidentally cut off his fingertip and posted pictures of it. He seemed almost proud of it and maybe having a little fun grossing out some of his followers.
I've seen worse.

I'm sure there are some on @zakludick's profile. It was a relatively small wound in relation to the amount of inflamation and general havoc it caused. Just goes to show that even a small wound can cause major trouble if not managed properly.
