RE: Finding My Voice Again | My 2025 Writing Aspirations (LOH #217)

Writing in English is somewhat mind boggling even to me. It is a constantly evolving language that will have it's archaic words that go out of use, colloquialisms, slang, secondary or tertiary meanings. But they also add color to the context of era, regional and a cultural palette of my fictional writing. Many foreign visitors and students I've met most say English is the hardest to learn. I don't blame them.

Thank you for sharing your thoughts, I couldn't agree more about how complex and ever-evolving the English language is. As someone who writes in English as a third language (yup, not my second language), I can attest to its challenges. It takes me a long time and a lot of effort to write these HIVE posts 😅.

Its fascinating to hear how you incorporate these nuances into your fictional writings that must add such a vibrant texture to your work. And yes, I've often heard English described as one of the hardest languages to learn, and for good reason. Its reassuring to know even native speakers find it mind-boggling at times. 😄 Thank you so much for the encouragement.
