It's not just Climate Change but also a part of the story is the failure of State and Municipal level of official policies that significantly shifted away important resources that would have helped minimize the the extent of this disaster. Like the inability retaining adequate levels of water in hydrants,cutting million$ from the fire fighting budget, and canceling the regular removal of the accumulating deadwood and dried under-brush in local parks, forests and watersheds.
I'm glad that my Canadian government responded immediately sending personnel and equipment to California. From what I seen on my News service, so many families lost everything. Some lost their lives. 🙏
I will also remember the victims of the Fire in Maui, Hawaii in 2023 as well.

You are absolutely right dear. You have shown a light on the actual situation. Government policies had been responsible for such a big destruction.
