If there is one wish I can have, it would be to go back in time to spend more time building memories with my two sons. I spent so much energy and time as a work-a-holic pursuing my family's goals that I often didn't have much left of myself for my kids. I may have paid off my mortgage ahead of time saving a lot money only to miss the greater treasure. 😒
My being on medical leave is a blessing in disguise and I am making up for that.

You were doing your best as at that time to Carter for their needs. It can be a lot joggling work and family time. The most important thing is that you are willing to make up for the lost times and that’s what matters most.
It's a bit unfortunate that women have to sacrifice their family time for work and to cover expenses in order to provide a better life for their children, but it's a situation that we should turn around and see the positive aspects in some way; children are our greatest motivation to keep going.
