Having a place to call your own is a tough one.
In Canada there are many rules and responsibilities to owning a home over and above the cost of financing. It required a lot of sacrifice on my part by putting off owning a car, getting nice clothes, packing my own lunches rather than buying out.
One day My Mother sold her home and bought a Strata apartment and helped me reduce the size of the mortgage. It is worth it when I tore up my mortgage this year. Paid in full!

I am so happy to hear that your plans have come to fruition! Here in Venezuela it's hard to buy your own home.... The costs are not as high as in other parts of the world, but there is very little money to be earned to buy it.
Inflation is exaggerated! Also as a family we make our sacrifices, we hope like you, someday not too far away, materialize our dream! ☺️🤗
