A few weeks ago, they added new cards called Soulbound Rewards wherein you cannot sell, trade, or transfer of those rewards. The only way to get these cards is through playing and getting daily and end of season chests.

These cards also have a lot of new abilities, one of them is Martyr, which increases the other monster's damage, speed and max health. The monsters affected are the two cards in front of back of it which is good when you want to strengthen a specific card to carry the whole fight.
I will leave the summary for another day. Since there are a lot of cards in here, this would take up too much space. However, I'll provide the links if you want to see the full lore for the main cards:

Tinderlock

A level 1 Tinderlock can be purchased for $0.77. However, a level 4 for $22.50 is much better because the Silence will be unlocked at level 4 and it's really strong, especially in Modern format where there's not a lot of Silence abilities to reduce the opponent's magic damage.

I always rent a level 4 Tinderlock because I like that Silence ability. The cost is close to that 19.47 DEC per day but most of the time, Tinderlock can be rented close to 14 DEC.
If you're in Bronze or Novice though, I don't suggest Tinderlock as he's not really strong until you get that Silence ability.
Stats | Firecaller
𝔓𝔥𝔬𝔱𝔬 𝔣𝔯𝔬𝔪 𝔪𝔶 𝔖𝔭𝔩𝔦𝔫𝔱𝔢𝔯𝔩𝔞𝔫𝔡𝔰 𝔞𝔠𝔠𝔬𝔲𝔫𝔱.
I like this card less than the other because of the 5 mana cost. It has decent 2 damage and 4 health as well which means that your Martyr effect will take a while before it comes online.
At level 1, Martyr is unlocked. When monsters with Martyr abilities die, the monsters next to it will gain 1 extra damage (regardless of damage type), 1 extra speed, and 1 extra max health.
If the monster has 2 damage types like Runemancer Florre (both has 2 magic and 2 range), both of those damage will increase by 1 (becomes 3 magic and 3 range).
At level 6, Fury is unlocked. Monsters with Fury ability deals double damage to monsters with Taunt abilities. Since at level 6, Firecaller has 3 damage, then he deals 6 damage to enemies with Taunt abilities.
At level 9, Snare is unlocked. A monster with Snare ability removes any Flying ability of an opponent monster it hit. This is good for Earthquake rule of combat since one, you want Firecaller to die for the Martyr, and two, you remove the Flying ability of other monsters so they take damage from Earthquake.
Stats | Venari Marksrat
𝔓𝔥𝔬𝔱𝔬 𝔣𝔯𝔬𝔪 𝔪𝔶 𝔖𝔭𝔩𝔦𝔫𝔱𝔢𝔯𝔩𝔞𝔫𝔡𝔰 𝔞𝔠𝔠𝔬𝔲𝔫𝔱.
In my opinion, Venari Marksrat is the best Martyr so far. He has lower health and lower mana cost. Yes, he only has 1 damage but you don't pick him to survive and deal damage but die and give stats to other monsters.
At level 1, Martyr is unlocked. When monsters with Martyr abilities die, the monsters next to it will gain 1 extra damage (regardless of damage type), 1 extra speed, and 1 extra max health.
At level 5, Snare is unlocked. A monster with Snare ability removes any Flying ability of an opponent monster it hit.
At level 8, Shatter is unlocked. Shatter is a good ability if you don't use a lot of magic damage. This destroys all of the opponent's armor regardless of the damage.
Stats | Tinderlock

Tinderlock is a weird one for me. Initially, I thought he was overrated since people are saying he's strong and yet I lost a lot of games on him. But that's not the case anymore with the Martyrs and after unlocking the Silence ability.
He may have 10 mana cost but he also has 8 health and it is increased further because of Last Stand. I don't find him overpowered but he isn't weak either. I think he's decent but certain combos can make him stronger.
At level 1, Last Stand and Close Range is unlocked.
Close Range allows a range unit to be able to attack in first position. There's no other benefit but it covers the extreme weakness of range monsters not being able to attack if in 1st position.
Monsters with Last Stand ability increases its max health, damage and speed by 50% if it's the last monster alive on your team.
At level 4, Silence is unlocked. Silence reduces all opponent's monster's magic damage by 1 as long as this monster is alive. Good to use when Earth Splinter can be used to counter Obsidian.
At level 7, Deathblow is unlocked. A monster with Deathblow ability does twice the damage to its enemy if it's the last enemy on the team.

𝑫𝒐 𝒚𝒐𝒖 𝒍𝒊𝒌𝒆 the new Martyr monsters ? 𝑾𝒉𝒚 𝒐𝒓 𝑾𝒉𝒚 𝒏𝒐𝒕?
Yes, especially, Venari Marksrat. Not only Venari Marksrat is a neutral monster meaning you can use him in almost any game, but also because he has so low health and low mana of 3. The Martyr ability activates only when the monster dies so you wanted that Martyr monster to die as fast as possible.
Having low health means that he insta-dies on Noxious Fumes and Earthquake rules of combat and he's one of the priorities for the opponent's opportunity ability. That means he has a lot of ways to be dead and dead rat is what you want him to be to boost the stats of your main monsters.
While Martyr is not as game changing as when Fury ability was released, it's still a niche and powerful ability especially if used in conjunction with certain abilities.

Summoner: Camila Sungazer: Provides -1 melee damage to all opponents.
- Venari Marksrat: Has Martyr effect to increase the stats of ...
- Tinderlock: My boss monster at this build. Has Close range to attack on 1st position, has Last Stand to increase his stats and has Silence to decrease opponent's magic damage by 1.
- Firecaller: Has Martyr ability to increase Tinderlock's stats by 1. Will also increase the max health and speed of Scavo Alchemist but it is not that important.
- Scavo Alchemist: Has Cleanse ability to remove the poisoned status on the monster on 1st position.
- Chaos Agent: I have an extra 1 mana so I just added him in case my opponent went full Sneak to stop my opponent eliminating Scavo Alchemist before the round ends.
ᗪIᗪ YOᑌᖇ ᔕTᖇᗩTEGY ᗯOᖇKEᗪ?
I know my Martyrs will die in this battle due to the Noxous Fumes poison. So, the idea is to use the Martyr effects to buff Tinderlock and use Scavo Alchemist to remove the poisoned status of Tinderlock.
I would say that there is an addicting feeling when you play something in your head and it works perfectly on the board.
ᗯᕼᗩT ᗯIᒪᒪ YOᑌ TᖇY ᗪIᖴᖴEᖇEᑎTᒪY ᑎE᙭T TIᗰE?
No. This is the best combination I can do at that time. Everything went as planned. Even the timing was on point. I actually expected Venari Marksrat to die first moving Tinderlock on the front then Scavo Alchemist Cleansing the monster on the first position afterwards, meaning, Tinderlock at that point in time.
I cannot ask for a better scenario for what I did in this battle.
