Introduction
Her unique buffs include giving every friendly monster extra armor, speed and health. These defensive stats make her a solid choice for battles where survivability is key. Whether you're a beginner or a seasoned player, Lux Vega can easily enhance your lineup.
However, Lux Vega isn't just about defense. Her Neutral status also means she's always available regardless of the Splinter chosen for battle. This makes her a reliable option when other summoners are restricted.
Lux Vega has simple but strong defensive stats. She provides +1 Speed, +1 Armor and +1 Health to all friendly monsters in the battle. These buffs help every monster on your team last longer and perform better, no matter their role. To compensate, try to add monsters with high damage instead.
Her abilities focus entirely on enhancing the stats of her team. While she doesn't directly boost damage, her buffs indirectly improve offensive potential by keeping your monsters alive longer. This makes her an excellent choice any battle but the best of all, you can choose her in any battles and is rarely unavailable if the rule of combat doesn't allow you to.
+1 Armor: [Stat Modifier] [Positive Status] All friendly monsters has their Max Health reduced by 1, with a minimum of 1. Monsters with 1 Max Health before the effect applies are unaffected.
+1 Health: [Stat Modifier] Positive Status] All friendly monsters has their Max Health increased by 1.
+1 Speed: [Stat Modifier] [Positive Status] All friendly monsters has their Speed increased by 1.
Pros
- Good Defensive Stats Lux Vega excels in boosting defensive stats like armor, speed and health. These buffs apply to every friendly monster allowing your team to survive longer and perform better against opponents. The extra armor is good for the melee and range monsters. The speed is good for quick strikes and those Speedy tanks like Coeurl Lurker.
- Neutral Summoner Like a Dragon Summoner, Lux Vega works with any Splinters except Dragons. This makes her very flexible and a good choice for players who want a summoner that fits most strategies. She's that one for all kind of summoner so you won't need to rent a summoner for each element while grinding for rating.
- Neutral is not an element. Each battle, some of the 6 elements will not be available. If your rented Summoner is one of this unavailable Splinters, you cannot use it for that battle. Lux Vega isn't tied to any element, so she's always available for battle. This makes her reliable in situations where certain Splinters are restricted.
Cons
- No offensive valueLux Vega doesn't have any abilities that boost damage or offensive stats. This can make her less appealing in battles where aggressive strategies are needed. You would then need to use monsters with higher damage in order to compensate for this weakness.
- Some Rules of combat prohibits the use of Lux VegaRules of Combat like Little League can restrict Lux Vega because of her 5 mana cost. Since Little League only allows summoners with 4 mana cost or less, she can't be used in those battles.
- Expensive to PurchaseLux Vega is a Promotional card. This makes her very limited in copies. Limited copies normally costs a lot more due to scarcity. For rental, since she's been out for a while, she's somewhat okay. That is not the same for purchase though.
Armored Up |
All monsters gain +2 armor for this battle: Lux Vega's extra armor stacks with the +2 Armor from this rule making your monsters even harder to defeat. Protect abilities also stack with these and is perfect if you're planning to use Armored Strike as your main offense.
Weak Magic |
Monsters on the board can use their armor to block an opponent's magic damage. This has the same effect as Void Armor: Her armor buff helps block magic damage which is very good for countering magic-heavy teams. Same with Armored Up, these are the rules of combat that you usually want to use Protect abilities to stack those armor.
Born Again |
All monsters on the board gains the Rebirth ability that revives them when they die once: When monsters are reborn with the Rebirth ability, they come back with Lux Vega's extra armor and 1 health. This makes the reborned monsters tougher to defeat than normal. |
Unprotected |
All armor and effects that involve armor are disabled during this battle: Since armor is disabled, her +1 Armor buff has no effect, reducing her overall impact. |
|
Reverse Speed |
The effects of speed becomes the opposite. Monsters with the least Speed also attack first and has highest chance to evade an attack: Her +1 Speed buff becomes a disadvantage because it makes your monsters attack later and miss more. This has basically the same effect for Swiftness so avoid using those abilities as well. |
|
Aim True |
All monsters cannot miss their attacks: Lux Vega's extra armor stacks with the +2 Armor from this rule making your monsters even harder to defeat. Protect abilities also stack with these and is perfect if you're planning to use Armored Strike as your main offense. |
Djinn Oshannus |
Lux Vega's extra Speed helps Djinn Oshannus avoid attacks and attack first. This makes him even better as a frontline monster. Djinn Oshannus also has Phase ability which makes evading magic attacks better as well with Lux Vega.
Coeurl Lurker |
The extra Speed makes Coeurl Lurker more effective as a speed tank allowing him to evade more attacks. Actually, one build for Coeurl Lurker lineup is to partner him with monsters with Swiftness and Slow abilities. Lux Vega is perfect in this instance due to her extra speed.
Swamp Spitter |
Lux Vega's extra armor makes Swamp Spitter's able to use Repair ability at any friendly monsters. Normally, you need a monster with Protect ability like Venari Wavesmith to partner with Swamp Spitter. However, with Lux Vega, you don't need any monster with Protect ability and can use Swamp Spitter alone. |
This team is one of my standards but with Lux Vega on its helm. I have mix of all damage which makes it hard to counter. I also have dual Triage protecting my Taunt monster, Wave Brood, at the back. Two strong frontlines, Xenith Monk and Djinn Oshannus makes sure opponents would not be able to take me out from the front. They are overall protected by Lux Vega and Venari Wavesmith to complete the set.
Lineup
Lux Vega
A neutral summoner that boosts all friendly monster's speed, armor and health.
Xenith Monk
A solid frontline tank with both Void and Heal abilities. The extra max health from Lux Vega increases the Heal amount since Xenith Monk's max health is now 9.
Djinn Oshannus
A strong frontline monster that benefits from Lux Vega's Speed boost to avoid attacks.
Venari Wavesmith
Adds more armor to the team which stacks with Lux Vega's armor buff. At max level, Venari Wavesmith also has great damage.
Spirit Hoarder
Provides healing support through Triage to keep monsters alive longer. It's a must combo with Wave Brood.
Angelic Mandarin
Another Triage ability unit for Wave Brood. Angelic Mandarin has range damage so you would have a mix damage in your team as well.
Wave Brood
A taunt monster that becomes even harder to defeat with two Triage monsters. Lux Vega's extra max health gives an extra restoration amount that comes from Triage.
These are battle that I like most. I was perfectly able to control the opponent's plan with the Taunt and slowly but surely dwindle their team's health. Lux Vega played a really huge part when she increased Xenith Monk and Wave Brood's health. That extra max health is enough to increase the healing on both of those two monsters by 1 making sustaining much easier.
Lux Vega is a neutral summoner that excels in boosting defensive stats like armor, speed and health. Her unique concept being a Neutral Summoner also makes her a great choice for players who want a summoner that works with almost any Splinter.
While she lacks offensive abilities, her defensive buffs make her very effective in battles where heals and speed is key. Her compatibility with monsters like Djinn Oshannus and Coeurl Lurker highlights her strength in enhancing both speed and durability.
Overall, Lux Vega is a strong summoner for players who value a quick change in strategy and defense. By being allowed in multiple Splinters, this also means you have multiple strategies and angles to win every battle.
