Today I want to share with you another update: โOur last weekend in Spainโ as hubby is watching football โฝ๏ธ I have time to write this post ๐คฃ๐๐
Todayโs selection will be of 39 photographs, where I take you along this weekend, 17 and 18 December 2022 ๐

Letโs start with the good bye of our rental yesterday Saturday 17 December ๐๐ป๐๐ปโ๏ธ
The gardenโฆ at 16:54pm. First day of only sunshine, we had lots and lots of rain in southern Spain the last weeks so this was a pleasant change. โ๏ธ
Our drive towards Mรกlaga city where we are staying in a hotel for 2 nights.
The sun is slowly setting and the colours changeโฆ ๐
Sunset behind us, I look out of the side window to capture it ๐ (nope I am not driving)

and the last toll road in Spain we go throughโฆ
A bit further along the long drive we see the mountains around Fuengirola and Mijasโฆ the time is 18:25h.

Finallyโฆ
We arrived at our accommodation in Malaga city at 19:30h in the evening. As you can see we have even a little kitchen area. ๐
So far we like this place. It has everything one would need. ๐๐ค
After bringing our suitcases ๐งณ upโฆ in total 4 medium ones and 2 cabin trolleys and a rucksack and purse ๐ ๐ not too much I would say hahaha ๐คฃ do keep in mind we wonโt have our belongings that have been picked up last Friday for 1 month. So I squeezed more than just clothes in these suitcases ๐
We went out for dinner after that and saw Mรกlaga at night time ๐

I canโt forget to show you some art worksโฆ in the form of #StreetArt ๐
After dinnerโฆ we went back and crashed early hahaha I was soooo tired ๐ด from the last busy days. Packing boxes ๐ฆ wrapping furniture, organising everything for the country move etc etc
The next morning, TODAY Sunday the 18th December the view of the outside of the apartment looks like this:

We said bye bye ๐๐ป to the rental car ๐ when we brought it back to the train station in Mรกlaga.
Getting up out of the garageโฆ we arrive in the main building. We have to find the car rental company to give them the car keys ๐

Found the rental companies, just next to the entrance to the trainsโฆ ๐๐๐๐ itโs now 11:30am
As we have all day to rest and relax and wander through Mรกlaga nowโฆ we walk first through the shopping area of the train station ๐
I see more art works high up ๐จ๐ผ

We exit the train stationโฆ our official BIENVENIDO A MรLAGA ๐

Here you see 2 large StreetArt works from DFACE and OBEY this is behind the CAC museum. I visited it while I was living in Malaga for 1,5 years many times, the museum I mean ๐๐
I love Malaga cityโฆ itโs stunning ๐ฅฐ I have beautiful memories from here.

Walking into the #historical #centre we see the Christmas lights on Calle Larios. ๐
The whole street, it is โTHE STREETโ in #Malaga that everybody knows. In the evening a light and sound display comes on, and the street will be filled with millions of peopleโฆ too busy for me to be honest, so not sure whether I go. I have done it once in 2015โฆ during #Christmas and #NewYearโs Eve ๐

Ice cream shops in the centre.
At 15:00h it was 18 degrees Celsius โ๏ธโ๏ธ๐๐ I donโt mindโฆ for the last warm days. I will enjoy every little sun beam โ๏ธ๐ As we are heading for snow โ๏ธ โ๏ธ
Wandering furtherโฆ we walk by El Pimpi restaurant and this statue.
Opposite this restaurant we see the Roman theatre and the Alcazaba.
After some drinksโฆ in a tea house and some cakesโฆ (I show later, one day) we walk further in some streets through the city.
In a large department store I saw:
Funny funnyโฆ ๐ there was even outside a Christmas marketโฆ I have to share with you in the community : #marketfriday ๐๐ later this week ๐ฅฐ

In the back streets, we see no people anymoreโฆ ๐

We officially moved out of Spain last Monday!

So where are you now? Spain is indeed interesting. Our country is a former colony of Spain.
Iโm visiting friends and family ( my in-laws ) in England for the holidays, up until somewhere in January.

I've only driven past Malaga, never into it, so this was interesting. Missed news about the move .. is it Malaga you are moving to?
Donโt skip Malaga, it is such a wonderful place. I lived there for a whileโฆ it surprises everybody. It has so much to offer. My little post now, surely doesnโt do it justice. I did share already more in the last though.
Nope. We move out of Spain. Hubby has been in southern Spain for 16 years and I have been around here for 7 years. We will move countries.
But not sure what location yet. I know the next country thoughโฆ will be number 6 for me. (Country of residence, not traveled too, as that are many more)
When I find a rental and we finally travel further โ๏ธโ๏ธโ๏ธ After visiting family and friends for the holidaysโฆ I reveal where we go next ๐๐

Itโs such an amazing city @hoosie I love it.
Maybe Iโm biased as I lived there for 1,5 yearsโฆ but in the 7 years that I have been in Spain and my 14 moves in the southern parts to different towns and citiesโฆ Malaga was far out the best place. For everything. โบ๏ธ Always something to do.
I will share later more from what I saw today, like the marketโฆ it was so cool ๐
The Roman theatre is beautifulโฆ it goes far under the square as it was found later. But they opened up most of it ๐ still lots is hidden.
