This young lady has so much talent and support from her family of extraordinary angler's. She will still make a big name for herself in the sport 🏆

Lulu Venables, 8 year old granddaughter of Legend Spyker and Marina Kruger from Hentiesbaai, Namibia.
Her love for fishing comes from Grandfather, grandmother and mother, Lulu is always with her when there is fishing, and she just developed a great love for the sport. She also doesn't like it when there are discarded items lying on the beaches. It all gets picked up and thrown into grandpa Spiker's fishing trailer.
Lulu has loved fishing so much since she was very young. When grandpa goes to the sea, he first asks where her rod is.
From the age of 2 she has had her own rod and she fishes Rasspl competitions which are species fishing, her grandmother may help her with the casting, but she has to fight the fish herself. she was also taught from an early age about the protection of fish and how to handle fish properly.
Lulu has also helped grandma Marina to tag fish and quickly put them back in the water, she is very protective of the sea and gets very angry when she sees things on TV where fish get hurt.
From a young age she would stand with her rod until something bites and then the excitement on her little face when that fish comes out is just indescribable. As she gets older, the love only gets bigger and so does the fishing gear.
She was also only 5 years old when she put her own bait on, as long as she could have a little line in the water.
What Lulu enjoyed the most was when she went to Angola with Grandpa Spiker and Grandma Marina, at Camp Yetu she just couldn't stay away from the water. She sat with her mother on the jetty until 11 o'clock at night, the next day we took her over to the beach where the Rio Longa river flows into the ocean,
I put a piece of cuttlefish on her Assassin Amia cob spinning rod with which she fishes, and cast into the river mouth, and at half past 9 in the evening the rod drops with an 8kg Cuberra Snapper, what a sight it was, she was almost lost that fish! She is very proud because she has caught a snapper and grandma hasn't 😊
She also stands by the water for a large parts of the day and spins with us.
In December 2019, at Yetu the Olive Ridley turtles started hatching and Lulu made sure that every hatchling went safely into the sea.
Species that Lulu has already caught.
Galjoen, cob, rock bream, spottail, catfish, spotty, basking sharks, minnows, jack crecalle, cubera snapper, river catfish, carp, grunters.
Lulu has been fishing all the Rasspl competitions since she was 2 years old and has already won a few medals, cups and prizes at the Rasspl, rasspl also inspires the young ones angling and how to preserve fish.
I think Lulu as a lady angler can still make a big difference to the protection of our marine life and its protection.
