The wedding happened last year on December 23, 2023. A long-distance date from today. As I try to recall those memories I've realized how precious it is to me and my whole relatives. It was the day when my beloved Aunt has tied the knot with her husband. Now, before the actual happening of the wedding. The whole entourage still needs to do some pre-nuptial shoots to capture the couple's love and romance though as I've searched it on the internet it should be taken the day before the wedding. It was raining early in the morning when we're about to take the pre-nup shoots but luckily it was just a passing by rain.
It was a really fun experience for me, I got to know my Aunt's colleagues who are part of the entourage. They were all professional and I was the only one who was still studying, I felt like a baby when being surrounded by them but all in all, I had to experience being exposed to people that have different perspectives from mine and it even occurred to me how hard the real world could be. As early as the morning, we need to get up and have our make-up done. It was a long hour for me for I'm not used to wearing makeup and having my hair to be styled up. I feel so different from my usual self because of my appearance. It took hours to finish the make up and as soon as all had been done we now proceeded to the pre-nuptials shoot.
The photographer was so meticulous, he likes everything to be perfect and in place which is why I got pressured as I'm still new to this, being part of the entourage was one thing but then nothing beats my nervousness for I'm also given an important role. I needed to follow the bride and help her with all its needs though it was not tough somehow it drained my energy.
As soon as the shoot was finished we're now preparing for the wedding. I was nervous at that time not to mention I feel so emotional. Somehow at some point I still can't believe that my Aunt will get married, I mean who would have thought about it? I was practically with her since my adolescence and I got the VIP experience of her being such a strict person ( no hard feelings involved) that's why I feel like I was still conflicted at that time but I've learned to fully internalize the whole situation and accept it. We waited for a few hours until it was now the moment of truth and acceptance. My Aunt will now be MARRIED. I was excited yet trembling with nervousness.
The wedding was being held at San Sebastian Martyr Church. Located in the Municipality of Borbon, Cebu. This church will now soon be witnessing another couple who would bow to be together with each other.
The wedding was so solemn, we had our whole family and relatives to attend the wedding, It was a simple yet precious memory for all of us. I am now again and again emotional in this very remarkable experience in my life. I was nervous to walk in the aisle alone which is why the other Maid of Honor suggested that we should just walk together. I appreciate how she managed to calm down my senses even though I was looking forward to this but I just can't help but feel pressured at the same time.
As the whole entourage were in its designated positions it was now the time for the bride to enter.

It was truly a roller coaster of emotion as I witnessed how my Aunt walked through the aisle. I was happy because I knew that she would now have a partner to whom she could be fully devoted even if I promised to be with her through thick and thin, it was still so different when she now had someone who would be her better half for the rest of her life along with the happiness I also felt quite sad for I know that things will be different this time. I know her focus will not be solely given to us and she won't be able to easily come home since she will now be staying with her husband.
The ceremony started and ended peacefully and we now celebrated the new couple in town. It took them a year for this moment to actualize not to mention the effort and the whole process but I think overall it is worth it.
Now with my Maid of Honor duty, We assisted the couple in getting the papers done for their wedding. As a Maid of Honor, we must carry out the completion of marriage papers.
After being announced as husband and wife the couple's are now having a photoshoot with family and friends.
After the ceremony, we now proceed to take the post-nuptial shoots. It was really fun to have those moments captured. Even if I was getting physically exhausted but then it was all a worthwhile experience.
Now for the last part of the wedding, we proceed to the reception, It was held at Pertz Beach Cove and I've already mentioned in my previous blogs that this has been quite known for this kind of occasion.

At that time we get to reminisce the whole wedding journey and even if as my role of being my Aunt's Maid of Honor was now coming to an end. I still remember that no matter what happens, I will always be with her whenever she needs my assistance, I won't ever forget her generosity to me and my family. Her wedding was a dream that came true for her and being her Maid of Honor was an experience that is also a dream fulfilled for me and I will carry on this memory for the rest of my life.
