The question of the week interested me a lot and I decided to participate. I invite @antoacosta to join this great family. This week's question is:
¿Cuándo empezaste a ver cambios en las actitudes hacia las mujeres en tu vida y qué crees que provocó esos cambios? Por favor, da algunos ejemplos?
When did you start to see changes in attitudes towards the women in your life and what do you think caused those changes? Please give some examples?**
Bueno, la verdad es qué tengo 39 años y afortunadamente cuando nací, ya no existía está manera machista de ver a las mujeres; incluso mi madre fue policía y secretaria de la Comandancia de Yaguaraparo, Estado Sucre Venezuela. Es decir, que esos prejuicios para ese entonces no existían. Aunque cabe destacar que en la sociedad no ha dejado de existir personas que no permiten la igualdad de los géneros y consideran que las mujeres solo servimos para ser amas de casa.
Well, the truth is that I am 39 years old and fortunately when I was born, this macho way of seeing women no longer existed; even my mother was a police officer and secretary of the Yaguaraparo Command, Sucre State, Venezuela. In other words, those prejudices did not exist at that time. Although it should be noted that in society there have been people who do not allow gender equality and consider that women are only good for being housewives..

En mi vida yo elegí una profesión orientada a las mujeres, pues soy maestra. Y tengo a mi lado un esposo que siempre me ha permitido trabajar y ayudarlo en el sustento de la familia.
In my life I chose a stereotypically femenine profession, because I am a teacher. However, I have a husband by my side who has always allowed me to work and help support the family.
Comparte conmigo sus conocimientos y me prepara en labores de la casa que por lo general la realiza el hombre en caso de que él no se encuentren en casa.
He shares his knowledge with me and prepares me for housework that is usually done by the man in case he is not at home.
- Soy capaz de pegar cables en caso de que se despeguen.
I am able to join cables in case there is a shortcut.
- Colocar la bomba y volverla a quitar cuando se va el agua.
Place the pump and remove it again when the water runs out.
- Sacar rosca algun tubo que se rompa en la casa.
Make marks in a pipe that breaks in the house and fix it.
- Cortar la hierba. Entre otras cosas.
Cut the grass. Among other things.
La sociedad de hoy sabe que las mujeres no tenemos límites y somos capaces de lograr todas las cosas que nos propongamos en la vida y lo demostramos al ejercer innumerables cargos dentro de la sociedad tales como: Presidentas, militares, astronautas, atletas, entre otras.
Today's society knows that women have no limits and we are capable of achieving all the things we set out to do in life and we demonstrate it by holding countless positions within society such as: Presidents, soldiers, astronauts, athletes, among others.

However, there are still a lot of companies and corporations that still dog women when it comes to equal pay for the position if that is equal with a position filled with a man.

!LADYIt is extremely admirable that your mother did the police duties @marianne55, they have progressed a lot from the time I was young also. I think women today have far more choices towards what they want to do, not so much what society wants them to do.
