Hello my beautiful people, especially the beloved and empowered Ladies of Hive, today I'm sharing my entry in community contest 231, hosted by my friend @marivic10. I'm inviting my friend @giocondina to participate, and I'm also inviting all the ladies of this community to join in. The question I chose to answer is the following:

#### Share a photo with everyone, one of your favorites, and tell us the story behind that day. Why is it so important to you? What does it mean to you?

The photograph I show in this post is a relic I treasure in my heart. The boy next to me is my nephew Ángel Gabriel, who passed away eleven years ago. Those were very difficult times for the family. We were able to enjoy him to the fullest because we knew he would leave us at any moment and depart from this earthly plane. Every time we met with him, we showered him with love and accommodated his requests. This time, he asked me to take him to a shopping center near home where he wanted to eat some delicious ice cream. He always carried his teddy bear, his companion. While I waited for the ice cream order, my sister took the photograph and I have kept it ever since. He passed away at age five, suffering from a heart condition with a poor prognosis. We never prepared ourselves to face death, and eleven years have passed, and we always remember his memories, anecdotes, and pranks with great affection.

We had a great time that day. I was talking to him. He was very talkative. He told me he loved chips and that he had lots of toys. And that he loved his teddy bear. I laughed out loud with him, and he gave me lots of kisses. And I remember him asking me while we were talking: "Aunt, please give me a ride in your car." I humored him. We went for walks after leaving the mall, and I usually took him around the neighborhood. I always told him my car doesn't have air conditioning, and he would say, "It doesn't matter, Aunt, I want to go for a ride with you." He was happy because we made him happy and we pleased him.

For all those experiences with him, which I enjoyed to the fullest and have never been erased from my memory, my memory remains intact. I remember him very often. Despite his short life, he left us with beautiful memories captured in many photographs, and this is one of them I'm showing you.

My dear friend, I can imagine how difficult it must have been for the whole family to face this loss. I believe it is something you never get over, you accept it, but that nostalgia always remains. An angel of God watches over them from heaven. How wonderful that you have these photos and treasure their memories, of every special moment you were able to give them. Thank you for sharing your story. Hugs and blessings.

That is so tragic for a young life to end so soon. And so good of you to spend as much time possible to fill his life with love and attention as a beloved Aunt. ❤️
